General Hospital Comings and Goings: Maxwell Caulfield Cast As Powerful NYC Art Gallery Owner

Maxwell Caulfield Returns To Soaps With New General Hospital RoleThe General Hospital spoilers note that a familiar face will be popping back to the land of daytime drama. Maxwell Caulfield, best known for his roles in prime-time soaps Dynasty and The Colbys, is headed to GH very soon. CTS has all the details below.

Maxwell Caulfield’s New Role

As per TV Insider, Caulfield is slated to play a New York City gallery owner named Apollo. His first air date is slated for Friday, May 29.

Caufield told TV Insider that General Hospital’s Casting Director, Mark Teschner, had been working on a character to bring the actor to the ABC soap. Caulfield adds, “In this instance, it’s just a one-off, but I was happy to take it.” 

Caulfield will share scenes with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) as they look to gather more information about Baby Phoebe’s mom, Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone).

The women are doing this on behalf of Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), as they are hoping to adopt Delilah’s daughter, and they want to make sure the child doesn’t have any lingering relatives that may come out of the woodwork!

Regarding Apollo, Caulfield hints that there’s ‘something a little dubious’ about his new General Hospital character.

Maxwell Caulfield’s Resume

Caulfield played Miles Colby on Dynasty from 1985 to 1986, as well as The Colbys from 1985 to 1987. In addition, he was on All My Children from 1996 to 1997 playing Pierce Riley.

He also had an appearance on Ryan’s Hope some years before as a drunken patron at a bar; so, Caulfield is no stranger to the land of daytime drama!

The actor was also in popular films like Grease 2 and Gettysburg – just to name a few!

During his TV Insider interview, Caulfield revealed that his GH stint disrupted his plans (a tad) with his wife, actress Juliet Mills. Daytime drama fans may remember Mills from her iconic Passions role as the witch, Tabitha.
