General Hospital spoilers confirm that Ryan Paevey’s run as Cassius Faison is officially over. The actor entered the role in September 2025, and TV Insider is reporting that his final scenes have already aired. More details on this story, below.

Cassius Faison’s Status In Port Charles

General Hospital spoilers for the Thursday, July 2 show reveal that Cassius got shot by WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawekes).

Still, nothing was confirmed regarding whether Cassius had passed away. On Friday, July 3, Z (John Oliver) revealed to Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) that Cassius was shot dead.

Still, despite this dialogue, there were many fans out there who believed he was still alive and that the WSB might be covering this up.

Those suspicions were put to rest on the Monday, July 6 show when Z paid Cassius a visit in the hospital, and the man was very much alive.

The WSB Head blackmailed Cassius into a job in the organization under him, and since Josslyn had a written statement that Mr. Faison was the mastermind behind the cold fusion product, Cassius agreed to it.

As per the TV Insider report, the July 6 episode was Paevey’s last show with the ABC soap.

Ryan Paevey’s History With General Hospital

The actor entered the land of Port Charles in 2013, playing ‘good guy’ Nathan West. Unfortunately, Paevey exited Genera Hospital when Nathan was shot in February 2018, by his father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

When Paevey re-entered the canvas in September 2025, many fans knew from the get-go that something was off with “Nathan”.

Viewer speculation ran wild, but most believe at the core of things that a twin storyline was on the horizon.

Especially after Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) dropped the bomshell that Faison had had four children. Cassius finally revealed to fans this past spring, during a chat with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

While the sad news is that Paevey is leaving, the good news is that with this exit storyline, there’s a great set for his possible return.

In fact, GH Executive Producer Frank Valentini told TV Insider, “The door is always open for him [Paevey] to return.”
