GH Spoilers– A Few Shocking Exits

Herring is returning, viewers might have missed the fact that Curtis’ (Donnell Turner) aunt, Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) has left Port Charles. While she has wrapped up the current visit, producers have left the door open for her to return, her schedule permitting. All is not lost, however, as fans can see Vernee in the CBS primetime sitcom, Bob Hearts Abishola.

General Hospital Is Still On Top

Fans probably know that General Hospital has been around a long time. In fact, it first aired in 1963. The show has become the second longest-running daytime soap in US history, after Guiding Light. However, it is the number one longest-running soap opera to still be on air.

General Hospital’s mixture of drama, action and romance has kept the soap opera going for all these years. GH constantly mixes up the action, characters and storylines to keep us glued to the screen! It is also one of only four daytime soap operas still running to this day.

The other daytime dramas are as follows: Close runner-up is Days of Our Lives (DOOL), which has been on NBC since November 8, 1965. Next in line is The Young and the Restless (Y&R), which started airing on the CBS network on March 26, 1973, while The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) is but a spring chicken and has been airing on CBS since March 23, 1987.

Keep watching General Hospital weekdays on ABC to keep up with the action.
