On “General Hospital,” Eden McCoy has been involved in heavy and heartbreaking storylines as Josslyn Jacks, which she admitted took a toll on her emotional health. Looking back she said, “It’s funny, because you always want what you don’t have.” “I wanted to dive into something dramatic. Then when I had to cry for the first time, I remember I was so taken back by it — and I had no idea what was coming,” she continued.

When she finally got what she wanted, she slayed her part. The problem was she didn’t know how to separate herself from her alter-ego. She still carried the emotional story with her even if she wasn’t on set.

“One week, I had to go to work right after school every day and knew Joss was going to be in a dark emotional place, so I just stayed in the dark place. That kind of sucked!” she recalled. “Now I’m like, ‘Why can’t I have one scene that doesn’t leave me depressed for a week?’”

But she didn’t regret any of it even though she knew for a fact that the storyline that she was involved in was emotionally taxing. She said, “I’m very grateful. I love bringing something to the screen that people can chew on.”

General Hospital News – Eden McCoy Speaks Out

McCoy earned her fame for her impeccable performance in “General Hospital” as Josslyn. Despite being only 15 years old, she’s proven herself and her acting skills. But before she was able to establish herself in the industry, she played well in competitive beach volleyball. In an interview with ABC’s Soap Opera Digest, she recalled that she wasn’t that confident back when she was younger. But thanks to her parents, she got a confidence boost after signing up for theatre camp.

She landed her first role in Hollywood when she was 8 years old when she played Tiffany on “Perfect Man.” She also appeared on “Nickelodeon Comedies, “Game Shakers,” and “Thundermans.”

She was outstanding! They both were. Two power houses….I wish they had gotten the opportunity to keep playing off of each other.
