General Hospital Spoilers – Stuart Damon Played A Quartermaine
General Hospital’s Stuart Damon played Alan Quartermaine. Stuart first appeared on the show on May 13th, 1977. Alan was the son of Quartermaine patriarch Edward Quartermaine (ex-John Ingle) and Lila Quartermaine (ex-Anna Lee). Alan was a very important part of General Hospital and that Quartermaine family. Alan had a tendency to cheat on his wife Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleston) but she did adopt Alan’s illegitimate son with Susan Moore (Gail Ramsey). Stuart played Alan for 30 years before Alan’s death in 2007. After being fired, Stuart graciously came back several times as Alan’s ghost, especially when Tracy Quartermaine (ex-Jane Elliot) needed some brotherly advice. The request for Stuart to return as a ghost is a testament to Alan’s importance to the show.
GH Spoilers – A Photo Tribute
Rumors suggest that General Hospital executives plan to have a larger tribute to Stuart later on. Fans were very upset on Twitter after the simple photo tribute aired recently. Here are a few comments expressing their feelings about the photo tribute.
“It’s disgusting! @ABC_Publicity & @valentinifrank should be ashamed of themselves! Not surprised tho considering how they have disrespected GH’s history and GH vets that are still there. Not to mention the big screw you to their fans.”
“Yea, I agree. I wish they would have done something like they did for Sean Connelly. His “wife” and “son” are still on the show, plus additional Q’s so they could have honored him a little better, in my opinion.”
Another fan defended ABC posting “Guys they film ahead the tribute episode is coming in the fall they have already said this. This was probably added when they found out he had passed away.”
General Hospital Spoilers – Stuart Damon Deserves Respect
One thing is very clear. General Hospital fans believe that Stuart deserves respect and they hope that GH executives plan to rectify this situation. After all, some fans are still very upset over the treatment Stuart received when Alan was abruptly killed in 2007. This was especially annoying when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was rushing to make peace with his father who died before he arrived at the hospital.
General Hospital fans want to see more of a tribute than this for a very beloved star. Will Stuart get his due? Was the photo tribute all we will get?
