General Hospital had a tentative date to resume production on July 20. However, due to the skyrocketing COVID-19 cases, production has been postponed. Actor, confirmed that no shooting will happen on Monday. Officials have expressed concern about the coronavirus infection rates. It’s just not safe for filming to restart right now.

In March 2020, COVID-19 shut down the world as we knew it. What was thought to just be a few weeks of downtime turned into months of quarantine? TV and movie sets in the United States, Canada, the UK, and other parts of the world hated production and sent everyone home to enter lockdown.

While The Bold the Beautiful has been back on set since late June, other soaps are not as quick to resume production. The Young and the Restless just went back last week. Days of Our Lives doesn’t plan on anyone returning to the set until September 1 at the earliest. As for General Hospital, there was hope it could film again on Monday, June 20.

Tomorrow is July 20 and fans are anxious for new episodes. A fan went on Twitter and asked deVry if they were still restarting production on Monday. The actor said that the Prospect Studios office might be open, but they would not be shooting anything. While it is disappointing that viewers will have to wait even longer for new scenes, it is understandable that the cast and crew have to be kept safe.

GH Spoilers – Not Safe For General Hospital Cast and Crew

According to General Hospital Blog, government officials have been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation. At this time, they do not feel it is safe for the cast and crew to return to the set. Like the other three U.S. soaps, GH is filmed in Los Angeles, where coronavirus infections are spiking back up.
