General Hospital Spoilers – Finola Hughes Honors Friend Olivia Newton-John

For fans, friends, and family of Olivia Newton-John, news of her death came as a shock. Olivia had always seemed so strong amid her repeated cancer struggles. And many, like General Hospital star Finola Hughes, turned to social media to mourn the loss.

Posting on Instagram, Finola shared a photo of herself with Newton-John. And in the caption, Hughes shared her memories. “Loveliest, beautiful, sweet gifted woman. 🕊 #olivianewtonjohn #rip. 🤍 She was so gracious and kind,” wrote the General Hospital star.

And many of Finola’s Instagram followers joined her in mourning the loss of the beloved actress. For instance, Hughes’ General Hospital co-star Cameron Mathison (Drew Cain) posted a series of prayer emojis. And a fan wrote, “Absolutely heartbreaking news. I’ve loved her since I was a young girl. Saw her in concert in the mid-70’s. And then on the big screen in Grease a million times! She was the epitome of class, grace, strength, kindness & bravery. RIP, beautiful Olivia.”

Celebs Join Finola Hughes In Remembering Olivia Newton-John

In addition to Finola Hughes, celebrities flocked to social media to express love for Olivia Newton-John, reported Deadline. But the actress’ daughter ranked as the first to remember her mother. Chloe Lattanzi stayed by her mother throughout her wars with cancer. And when Olivia passed at the age of 73, Chloe shared a photo gallery. 

But Newton-John’s co-star and friend John Travolta posted one of the most moving tributes. “We will see you down the road,” promised John. “And we will all be together again. Yours from the moment I saw you and forever! Your Danny, your John!” wrote Travolta.

And actress Mia Farrow joined those praising the Grease film star. Mia called Olivia “lovely, talented, brave.” And she added, “Everyone says she was wonderful. Always kind.” But while many praised Newton-John, Yvette Nicole Brown confessed her own heartbreak. And Yvette admitted, “That’s it. I’m done guys. Heartbroken doesn’t even BEGIN to cover it. I ADORED her.”

And actress Marlee Matlin recalled her own experience with Olivia. “I am SO saddened at the news of the passing of Olivia Newton John,” posted Marlee on Twitter. And the actress recalled feeling “so star struck when I met her at my first Hollywood gathering for Paramount. She was the sweetest and brightest light.” And Matlin recalled working together with Olivia. “I loved getting to know her on “It’s My Party.” RIP dear, sweet Olivia,” added Marlee.
