For the week of July 20, we won’t be seeing another theme week. Instead, it will be more recent broadcasts that aired prior to the soap running out of new episodes. General Hospital Spoilers – When Did New Episodes Run Out?

The last new episode of GH that aired was on Monday, May 21. They tried to stretch those new episodes as much as they could. However, nobody predicted that the quarantine due to COVID-19 would last as long as it did. Three of the four American soaps on the air had to resort to classic installments, theme weeks, and other ways to keep viewers tuned in. Days of Our Lives is the only one that is still airing new episodes.

GH Spoilers – Airs Classic Episodes and Theme Weeks

The long-running ABC soap has been airing classic episodes and theme weeks ever since. The soap stars go on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook to connect with the fans. They also live tweet during certain episodes and reminisce about when those scenes were filmed. Additionally, the actors have been providing fresh commentary to go along with the broadcasts.

General Hospital Spoilers –  July 13-20 Are Not Themed

For the week of July 13, don’t expect another theme week. Instead, the soap will be airing more recent episodes that aired prior to the soap airing its last fresh installment. TV Source on Twitter revealed they will be rebroadcasting the episodes that originally aired May 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13.

GH Spoilers – Recap Weeks Mean Production Resuming?

There is reason to believe that the new broadcast schedule might mean the soap is getting ready to resume production. The Bold and the Beautiful is considering a “recap” episode to remind viewers what happened before they ran out of episodes. It’s safe to say that GH might be planning something similar. We will just have to wait and see what happens.

Just be warned that production is slowed due to the safety protocols. There is also editing and other things that must happen before an episode is ready to be aired. So, just because they go back to filming doesn’t mean we will see new episodes right away. But it’s a step in the right direction!

      Best news I’ve heard all day! I’m super excited to have the show back on, the country needs to get back to work in a safe and sane way rather then put life on hold.
