General Hospital (GH) Spoilers: Laura Wright And Maurice Benard Blame Jason For CarSon’s Woes!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos) talked at a recent fan event about the presumed dead character Jason Morgan. Jason perished in a cave-in and fans have not stopped hoping that he returns to the land of the living one day.

The reason behind Jason’s demise is that his portrayer, Steve Burton, declined to get the Covid vaccine and was let go from the ABC sudser. Ingo Rademacher (Jasper Jacks) was also let go for the same reason.

She said, “I wouldn’t say ‘the love of her life.’ She didn’t have a ‘life’ with Jason. He was always ‘the friend.’ When they thought they were going to [spend their lives together], Sonny came back. What I find amazing about that storyline is that [Sonny and Carly] were apart for nine months. She started to create a life [without him]. He [also] had a whole other experience.”

Wright went on to talk about the present day and not the past: “who are these people right now? I love it. I think it’s fascinating.”

Jarly got married when they thought that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was dead. He might as well have been, he was living in Pennsylvania. Sonny thought he was a man named Mike because his memories left him and he had amnesia. He ended up being taken in by a couple who owned a bar and there he stayed until suddenly his memory returned and he came back to town. That was after Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) found him and carried on an emotional affair with him.

In the present time Sonny and Carly are facing a divorce and Laura thinks the breaking point came after Jason’s death. “This is happening when Jason’s gone. Without that third part, their lives have fallen apart. I think there’s a part of Sonny who doesn’t know how to function without Jason.”

Benard was at the same function and he agreed with Laura’s assessment of CarSon’s troubles: “[It’s] Jason for sure. Ask my [late] dad. He knew that for five years.” The show will finally have a memorial for Jason—tell us fans, does this mean he is truly dead?
