General Hospital’s Steve Burton announced his separation from his wife Sheree Burton shortly after she announced her pregnancy with her fourth child. Fans assumed the child belonged to Burton since no separation had been announced. Fans were shocked by the news but a source says the split had been coming for some time.
General Hospital Spoilers – Their Lives Have Been In The Coasting Stage For A While
General Hospital’s Steve had been married to Sheree Gustin for 23 years before he announced their split last year. It seems that Burton’s life has been in chaos since he was let go from his job at General Hospital last fall. ‘Their lives were changed when he went through some upheaval and anger over what he considered his freedoms being in jeopardy. He had to leave a show that he loved, which caused chaos in his life,’ the insider explained. The source also said that Sheree had become unhappy in their marriage and was looking for something more.
GH Spoilers – Steve Burton’s Shocking Announcement
Last week, General Hospital’s Burton posted about their split on his social media account. This later led to a firestorm of fans coming at Burton and Gustin. Burton posted, ‘I wanted to clear something up. ‘Sheree and I are separated. She recently announced that she’s expecting her fourth child. The child is not mine. We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.’
This announcement came after fans assumed the child belonged to Steve after his wife’s pregnancy announcement. Sheree later deleted her Instagram account over the backlash she received. Burton and Gustin married in 1999 and are the parents of two daughters Makena, 18, and Brooklyn, seven; and a son Jack, 16.
General Hospital Spoilers – A Separation Date Has Not Been Made Public
The former General Hospital star has not posted a separation date and asked for privacy. However, fans have gone overboard against both Steve and Sheree. Burton was attacked for his announcement that they had split up even though Gustin had posted on May 4 that she was pregnant with number four.
Fans mistakenly assumed that the child was their fourth and some people believe that Burton should have remained quiet about the split. Was Burton wrong to announce the couple’s separation without consulting Gustin? Was Sheree wrong to share her news knowing that fans would assume the child was Steve’s?

One thing is for sure, Steve has signed a contract with General Hospital and wanted to stay till the end of the show. However, Disney’s vaccine requirements forced Burton to leave long before he was planning to do so. Burton did everything he could to get an exemption to the shot but was denied. His stress is certainly understandable since his life had just blown up. Will Steve get his life back on track now? Steve Burton did not do everything he could you stay on the show. He did not get vaccinated. Had he been vaccinated, he could have stayed.
He started on Days as a teen. As far as the vaccine – that was his choice. Consequences are what they are. He is great at his job. And work will come.

You are 100% correct. Both cases can claim my body my choice. Those choices on both sides come with consequences. One choice should be between their doctor and their beliefs, the other choice is very similar, it should be between their doctor and their God. You can not legislate morality. In a world run by a human government it will NEVER work.
