Stars Testing Positive

GH spoilers reveal that Kristen Storms, who plays Maxie Jones, recently tested positive for COVID-19. Other stars have also tested positive for the virus. This comes on the heels of Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) and Ingo Rademacher (Jasper “Jax” Jacks) being let go for refusing to get the vaccine.

GH Spoilers: Production Halted

As the case numbers for Omicron continue to rise, show bosses and studio executives are being forced to make a tough decision. According to TV Line, General Hospital has halted production. This will be alarming to fans, but it should be a brief shutdown. Of course, this is a fluid situation and could change at any moment. While GH plans on resuming production next week, there are a lot of factors that could change the restart date.

Other ABC TV Shows Affected

General Hospital spoilers reveal that the beloved soap isn’t the only production to shut down. In light of the current health crisis that is affecting the entire world, other productions have decided to make similar decisions. Grey’s Anatomy, Station 19, and The Rookie were all set to start production after the holiday break. Those three shows have decided to delay their restart date.

General Hospital Spoilers: Precautionary Measure

Although a rep for ABC has declined to comment, sources told TV Line that it is a precautionary measure. It is stated that out of an abundance of caution, the decision was made to take a pause in light of the surging number of new cases being reported. Some fans will get pretty upset by the news as there are some extremely passionate viewers, especially when it comes to soaps.

According to the publication, this decision was not made based on any current positive cases of actors on the shows. In fact, the insider said they are not aware of any COVID-19 outbreaks on any specific TV show. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any, just that the information is either not known or has not been disclosed.

While everyone has passionate views on this subject, the important thing is that everyone stays healthy and safe. We will keep you posted on new developments and updated information as it becomes available. In the meantime, tell us what you think about these ABC TV shows halting production. Do you think that other networks will do the same thing?

seems funny the vaxed people are the ones getting sick. do you not see the big picture here?

  • Guest

I really hope everyone will be okay. Nothing matters more than these people's health. They could use old episodes, starting from the very first.

  • Gale Pettite

If keeping the stars and crews safe I am all for it. We surely dont want to loose any of our favorite actors to this pandemic

  • Guest

You seem to be the one who doesn't see the big picture here. Why don't you go to CDC and learn something?

  • Guest

The Health of The actors is # 1. Just please come back as soon as possible.

  • Guest

Yeah, they get a milder version, stay home, and don’t get intubated.

  • Guest

I don't see any of my any vaxccinated getting sick!

  • Guest

I’m all for it if it keep ppl from coming down with it!!

  • Guest

And the vaccinated ppl aren’t spreading and getting others sick. Unvaccinated Covid patients have filled our hospitals, resulting in hours spent in waiting room. WHO IS PAYING FOR UNVACCINATED HOSPITAL BILLS?

  • Guest

As much as we fans hate to miss our storyline we also think it is wise to halt production so as to not have anyone die from the virus. Take good care of each other be safe please.

The health and safety of everyone involved is 1st…..Hope everybody stays safe and well

  • Guest

It's obvious you haven't suffered the tragic loss of a loved one from this virus…iam sure these people may still be around had they made different choices…Good Luck out there

  • Guest

False. It's more vaxxed people spreading it than the unvaxxed.

  • charles d. haskell

I also hope/pray that everybody will get better fast.

As gh fan and Jason Morgan fan I have to say this I also have Covid for a week and I have the shot too so either way you go shot or no shot still get it love all and bring Jason back

  • Guest

lets us know when it come back stay safe everyone Bring Jason Back and Jax that are a big part of the show

  • Guest

Where is your proof that vaccinated people aren't spreading this? Mainstream news, right?

  • Barbara

I will miss new shows on General Hospital, but I'm not surprised by this decision. With the ratings dropping because of politics for some fans and the extremely high cost of producing shows in the 21 century I wouldn't be surprised if the show was cancelled. That would make some fans happy and others sad. In any event I hope that everyone remains safe.

First, let me say that I want everyone to be safe and healthy. But, this just makes the decision to get rid of Steve and Ingo that much harder to accept. People are getting Omicron whether they are vaxed or not. The good news is, that we should be past this by the end of January. Please bring Steve and Ingo back.

  • Guest

Only if they get the vaccine!

  • Guest

    The "vaccine" that changes NOTHING??

  • Guest

…..and part of the reason for shutdown!

  • Guest

They fired Steve & Ingo for not getting vaxxed. Now all the “stars” that got vaxxed are testing positive…Hmmm, they should apologize & hire back Steve & Ingo. I watch ALL the shows listed, ABC sucks now that Disney owns them.

  • Guest

Good thing Steve and Ingo are gone for 2 month or else they would be blamed for the "outbreak" as they are not vaccinated.

  • Guest

Agreed.i have been boosted and still got it
