Even though she hasn’t been on the canvas for well over a year, it seems like former General Hospital star Kelly Monaco is still very frustrated with the way that things are still going. Or at least, about some of the things that are being said about her.
Kelly Monaco Wants The Rumors To Stop
There’s strong speculation suggesting that Kelly, who was once best known for her role as Sam McCall on the hit ABC soap, simply wants all the rumors to stop.
That’s because there have been a lot of General Hospital spoilers suggesting that she’s coming back to reprise her role and that her character is going to be the one who will get rid of Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison) once and for all.
But it seems like there is absolutely no truth to any of the rumors as Kelly has made it clear that she never wants to go back to General Hospital, let alone have anything to do with the soap again.
After all, she was in General Hospital for nearly two decades, yet was unceremoniously let go in the way that she was back in 2024.
Sure, Port Charles might have been like a second home for the actress, but now it’s a place that she certainly wants to keep her distance away from.
General Hospital News: What’s Next For Kelly Monaco?
There was earlier speculation suggesting one of the reasons why Kelly was let go from the soap was because she kept calling off from working and needing time off away from the set.
Not only that, but there were also complaints that Kelly was ‘phoning it in’ and just wasn’t putting as much effort into her character Sam as she was in the past. In other words, it seemed like she was checked out and had no interest in checking back in.
That was disappointing not only for the producers of the soap, but also all the General Hospital fans out there.
But now Kelly just wants to make it clear that she’s not going to be taking two steps back when all she’s interested in doing is taking a huge step forward in her career, regardless of where that might take her.

If Kelly monico wants the rumors to stop. She should put on her big girl.pants and address them herself on IG… She has yet to talk publicly since her firing. Her fans deserve better. Jmo
I disagree with Steph. I admire Kelly for coming out and blatantly telling us that she will NEVER return to GH. That answer should be satisfactory to all of us. Frankly, IT IS NONE OF OUR BUSINESS what happened between Kelly and the producers and anyone else involved. The details are between them….
You all need to respect Kelly wishes, just leave her alone for God sakes let it go stop writing bullshit. Just remember what goes around comes around in due time and karma will hit you all hard. Do onto others as you would want others to do to you. This world is full of dark, negative crap spreading all the sick energy out their in the world.
She doesn’t owe the fans anything! She gave us over 20 years as Sam. Why do “fans” feel like they deserve to be informed of all the details of her life? If she has anything she wants people to know, she’ll handle it. HER way, in HER time. Leave her alone .
I’m confused…. First the article said she said she wants the rumors to stop, but then a little further down it says “ So far Kelly Monaco herself has not made any comments about the matter” so which one is it?
Kelly don’t let it bother you.We still love Sam the character and you played the roll so good that G.H can’t find anyone close to being good enough to fill your shoes.NOBODY,in our eyes you are kelly monoco and the part you played can’t be replaced,well they will probably try but we know who you are and Thank you for defending yourself We will love you always.Thank you and reach for the stars you are too good to stop acting.
I agree it is no one’s business what occurred with KM and TPTB and really can’t understand so many wanting to know what occurred. Once the information was obtained, just what good would it do for the person inquiring. I don’t know if KM wants to return or not, but one thing for sure is she will not advise anyone of the general public as to what occurred. Everything heard about KM is speculation by one person or another. As long as KM is healthy I don’t care if she does or does not return to any soap. Kelly has a life to lead beyond acting and even if she prefers to turn in her acting shoes, she still can have a great life ahead of her.
