Kin Shriner who plays the role of Scott Baldwin on General Hospital (GH) was so believable as a legal eagle that the ABC star almost convinced himself he was qualified. Well, his days of impressing seem to be over and he claims that he doesn’t plan on returning to the ABC show.
Kin Shriner Written Out Of General Hospital
In January 2022, Scott Baldwin who was fond of Liesl Obrecht was written out of the show. General Hospital fans saw that the actor went to Florida. At the time, fans really hoped that he was only temporarily off the show for the holiday season.
There are many characters temporarily written in and out of GH. So, ABC fans wondered when Kin Shriner would return as Scott Baldwin. Then in May of 2023, he tweeted that his character was written out of General Hospital forever. Well, some GH fans took that with a pinch of salt, He previously tweeted about that in 2018, and again in 2022.
Kin Shriner Once Again Tweets – He Won’t Return As Scott Baldwin
In September, more news of the negative kind came in comments to General Hospital fans. More forceful now, the ABC star claimed, “Scott Baldwin gone!!” But not too many people felt worried about it as he has a way of popping back up on screen.
While some GH fans wrote off at least some absence to the writer’s strike, things sounded grim again in October. The big guns stepped up to talk about Kin Shriner’s non-return. It was former Y & R star Doug Davidson who commented in response to a tweet that Kin made about only the oldies staying in touch. He felt that his friend should give up on GH and join him in Portugal
‘No Plans’ For A Return
There seems to be a real feel to the continuing non-return of Scott Baldwin. On November 17, Kin Shriner took to X, formerly Twitter, and posted about “the anniversary of Luke and Laura[‘s] wedding.” When a fan asked, “When are you coming back?” Kin replied, saying, “No plans.”

Another follower in the comments asked, “Are you returning to GH? We need you!” Well simply and in one word, Scott Baldwin’s actor said, “No.”
Other fans poured out their love to the long-running actor. One of them wrote kindly, “Love you & Elizabeth Taylor she was [an] awesome person! Always giving to people! Not snobbish at all. I so miss you my Scotty. You’re a real gem.”

Kin, we need your fun!
I get so upset when they get rid of long devoted actors and actresses…Kin Shriner is one of them. We miss you Ken aka Scotty Baldwin.
Gh seems to want all originals out. It looks like they don’t care what the viewers want. The stupidy of the Lulu story is a perfect story. Why that was written that way is beyond me. I get that acrors leave for their own reason or it’s story related but bringing back some of these characters is a bore. It’s my hope the story direction will change for a few but intil then I will read the recaps.
It’s getting ridiculous. Watching for 40 years and a coma patient rises and walks after 4 years of not moving. Not believable. I suspend quite a lot to watch but this a little to stupid. Sam gone, Scott and Liesel gone. The only bright spot these days are Tracy,Gio ,Lois and Brennan. The shake ups are not working.
Would love to see Scott Baldwin back & be revealed as baby Dada to Sasha not Robert or Mac !! Now that would be way better & Hollys game of faking Robert off as Sasha’s father & it’s really Scott’s child well grown daughter now. Bring him back GH needs him to bond & have Sasha do a new DNA test find out isn’t scorpio
BRING SCOTTY BACK!!!! LVE THAT Character
He is a Legacy character which means he will return someday. As of lately, I’m not pleased with the casting or storylines. As far as I’m concerned the character of Scott Baldwin should have a 2 -3 generation family on the show since he was part of the original families (Baldwin’s, Weber’s, Hardy’s Quartermaine’s
