Wait … What?
As per the closing credits of General Hospital’s Friday, April 3 episode, Kirsten Storms is no longer under contract with the show.
In addition, she was part of the intro that displays all the character portraits, either. As it seems, less than two months after the actress returned to the show, Storms is officially on recurring status with the daytime drama.
In fact, right after Maxie woke up from her coma, other than a welcome home party, where she later let Fake Nathan West, a.k.a. Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), know that she had chosen Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to be with, viewers haven’t seen much of Maxie recently.
In addition, Storms has been quiet on her social media and hasn’t posted anything since she believed her Instagram was hacked back in February of this year.

What This All Means
It’s important to note that no information has been released about Storms’ recurring status by either General Hospital or the actress.
With that said, a recurring status doesn’t mean Storms has left the show, nor does it mean that fans should be concerned about Maxie’s leaving the land of Port Charles anytime soon.
It just means that she won’t be a regular player in the daytime drama, and her character will appear when the storyline dictates.
Still, many actors and actresses on GH, and other soap operas for that matter, have recurring status and are seen quite frequently on the canvas.
One fine example of this is Maxie’s stepbrother, Cody Bell, played by Josh Kelly.
Kelly was taken off contract in June 2025, yet has a prominent role on General Hospital. In fact, Cody has a sizzling romance with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kirsten Vagnos), so Storms recurring status may not affect Storms’ storyline that much. Only time will tell.

I hope this is her decision! If so maybe she’s doing it to get even healthier and to spend more time with her daughter! Whatever the reason I certainly hope she’s not leaving the show all together!
My feelings EXACTLY, Cf! Maxie is one of my favorite residents of Port Charles and I’ve always loved Kirsten Storms’ portrayal of her.
Kirsten has been through many, many traumatic and scary things in the past couple of years. I will miss not seeing her on GH on a regular basis, but I’m hoping that she will use her time away to heal and regroup physically and emotionally.

I like having Kirsten back on the show. It didn’t seem like Maxie when she wasn’t playing her. They do have Kevin Collins on recurrring status and he comes back fairly often. i like her and Spinelli together. She is an actual character from the time she was born to the part of Maxie, not a replacement one. i will keep hoping she will get moer storylines again.
I feel all need to stop thinking and talking about this matter. Not having a contract on GH does not mean one will be leaving the show. KS can still have a strong presence, but just not have to deal with the constant daily grind taping demands. Rumor mills should stop making hills out of a ant hill (small one), and just wait to see what occurs before putting out incorrect information about any subject.
I hope Kristen will still be a major cast member even without a contract. Hope she is healing and maybe this is the reason. So many are being let go from the show not sure what they are doing by letting so many players leave.
Do tell!!! What rumors and incorrect information has anyone started? The only thing I’ve seen on here are a few people wishing her well and hoping that she continues on the show!
I’m trying to understand what rumors and wrong information you’re speaking of! No one on these, few comments here have said anything other than they wish her well and hope to continues on the show!
Why are you saying people are starting rumors or incorrect information? All I see here are people wishing her well and hoping she stays at GH!
I have to agree with Dr’s question
