General Hospital Kirsten Storms Teases Maxie’s Shocking Return To GHGeneral Hospital spoilers imply that Maxie Jones may be in Australia; however, her portrayer, Kirsten Storms, just teased a possible comeback to the ABC soap. CTS has all the details below.

Storms posted a selfie on Friday, August 14, to her Instagram Story. The caption read, “Back in Cali. Back to blonde.” As fans recall, some weeks back, Storms had dyed her hair dark brown.

The actress’s hair in the photo was the same blonde that Storms donned when she played Maxie. It’s also important to note that the actress currently lives in Tennessee.

Which begs the question … why is she blonde and back in California, where General Hospital films!

Back Story

Storms has had her fair share of personal issues since mid-2025 until now. She decided to move to Tennessee in July 2025, which took Maxie off-screen, as the character fell into a coma to allow for Storms’ hiatus.

The actress and character returned to the canvas in February, but Maxie’s comeback was short-lived.

Reports revealed in April 2026 that Days of Our Lives and General Hospital alum Brandon Barash (ex-Stefan DiMera/Jake DiMera, ex-Johnny Zacchara) issued a restraining order against Storms due to “great concern [for her] ability to adequately care for the minor child”. The two share a child.

General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms Hints At Comeback

In June, Storm hopped on IG and revealed she was not returning to General Hospital anytime soon, noting, “As for what is in my future, where GH is concerned…. Given what’s been going on, I can’t say I will feel comfortable heading back to Los Angeles and returning to work.”

Just a few weeks ago, Maxie and her entire family were written out when the entire gang decided to move to Australia as Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) accepted a job there.

Still, could the family be moving back, or will Maxie return on her own to deal with some unfinished business?

No return has been confirmed by either Storms or General Hospital, so only time will tell!
