Before turning herself in for her sentence in Pentonville, Alexis relived her life and introduced us to Natasha, the little girl she once was. It was Nancy Lee Grahn’s well-deserved standalone 25th-anniversary episode and it was all about Alexis and her self-sabotaging ways.
General Hospital – Alexis Davis’ Time Is Ticking Away
General Hospital fans had almost forgotten about that diamond watch Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) gave Alexis when he first arrived in town and introduced himself to her as her half-brother. (We eventually learned they’re not blood-related and some fans want a romance.)
However, that watch made a comeback today as Alexis chose to wear it on her last day of freedom. It kept on breaking no matter how many times she fixed it and she didn’t care. The watch became a centerpiece of the episode as Alexis recalled the night her father gave it to her mother. It was also the night a young Natasha saw her father beat her mother over and over again.
During a last-minute therapy session with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), Alexis told her younger self that it was ok that she didn’t save her mother. It wasn’t her job. But she did affirm that she is still an advocate and always there to help others who need her. Alexis kept an eye on her broken watch the entire time.
GH Spoilers – Alexis Davis Says Farewell, Starts New Life In Jail
In between it all, General Hospital fans enjoyed the character interacting with just the right people. The men in her life gave her a farewell lunch. They included Valentin, Ned (Wally Kurth), Finn (Michael Easton), and Jax (Ingo Rademacher).
And of course, her daughters were at home planning a surprise. Not a farewell celebration but a graduation celebration for Molly (Haley Pullos). Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) planned this because Alexis will miss Molly’s law school graduation.
Alexis once again affirmed who she was when she began offering her cellmate help preparing for her parole hearing and then the watch started ticking. But ok, the real treat was the flashback montage at the end when we saw Grahn’s first scene as Alexis to her falling right off the wagon again last fall and everything in between. That was the good soap we tune in for. General Hospital needs to show fans some more.

I agree with the author Elizabeth Rose that NLG’s performance was spectacular. GH doesn’t get any better then when it shows family coming together like with the Davis Women.
