General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Chloe Lanier, who portrays Nelle Benson, will officially be gone from Port Charles as of next week. According to the Soap Opera Network, Chloe’s last air date should be Wednesday, August 8, 2018. GH fans will not want to miss how this evil witch will leave town!!

Viewers of the ABC soap opera have been watching as Nelle Benson has been painting herself into a corner, feeling there is absolutely no way she can redeem herself, especially after she literally handed her and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) newborn baby to Brad Cooper (Parry Shen), so he could pass the little guy off as his and Dr. Lucas Jones’ (Ryan Carnes) son, Wiley. Nelle has become probably the most sadistic character we have seen in Port Charles in a long time!

GH sources show that Chloe Lanier has really made a name for herself among soap opera fans, and the relatively short time she has been working on the ABC sudser. Although she initially portrayed teenager Patty Spencer in April and July 2015; she really became a household name when she returned to Port Charles in August 2016 as a brand new character – Nelle Hayes.

Lanier quickly proved she could hold her own with huge soap opera veterans like Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), Maura West (Ava Jerome) and Laura Wright (Carly Corinthos). She was nominated in 2017 and won in 2018 the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress for her role on GH!

Many years ago, my client at that time – Tonja Walker – was contracted to GH. On her return in March, 2017 I began watching again. I am now addicted to the stories. Nelle Benson caught my eye as someone to watch. She enhanced each scene she was in and driven to success. I am sorry to see her go. She brought excitement to the show. When you can’t stand the “character” you know they’re doing a superb job. I will miss you Nelle. Linda R.

Can’t wait till she’s gone. She was very good in being bad. But time to go and now need some happiness on the program
That would be a nice change

My husband who is 75 years old watches GH with me every day. We try not to be out when it is on. But we routinely DVR every episode so in the event of doctor’s appointments etc. we won’t miss a thing. We love GH

Please don’t bring her back. I could never trust her again. She is sick and needs mental help. What good would she be without mental help—-for years. Maybe that wouldn’t even help. Don’t let her just walk away. If she comes back she will only cause trouble.

The problem with Nelle’s character was because she was not a character you love to hate like Ava. She is so wicked and evil with not one redeeming quality. Yes she’s a good actress but Nelle is over the top and only left me with horrible feelings I didn’t want to feel. Like ugly hatred even though it’s jus a tv show. Fortunately those feelings don’t linger.

Please do not ever bring her back.
