General Hospital fans were devastated to hear that Dominic was leaving the soap opera, almost as devastated as his on-screen father Maurice Benard [Sonny Corinthos].

Seconds after Zamprogna confirmed his GH exit, Maurice Benard took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt goodbye message.  It sounds like the General Hospital cast is as sad to see the Dante star go as fans at home.  So far there is no news on whether or not TPTB have recast the role.
