General Hospital News: GH Superstar Genie Francis Returning This Fall!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that soap opera legend Genie Francis, who has portrayed long-time, soap favorite Laura Webber/Spencer/Collins is back taping and set to be back on screen for this fall! How excited are you to hear that Genie Francis taping scenes for General Hospital?

GH fans were furious when it was revealed that the ABC soap opera executive producer Frank Valentini, especially when she was in the middle of a juicy storyline – just marrying the sweet Dr. Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom); someone who seemed to be fantastic for her soul compared to former loves Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Scotty Baldwin (Kin Shriner). It was a very odd time for Francis’ character to leave Port Charles, not only as a newlywed but also because she was in the middle of her campaign in a very heated mayoral race with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).

Genie Francis’ exit was almost anti-climatic as she left town to take care of her grandson, Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel), who apparently broke both his legs off-screen. General Hospital viewers held out hope that this would lead to Laura coming back with Spencer, could this be what Bechtel meant in his social media posts when would be seeing him? Is Spencer finally returning to Port Charles?

General Hospital spoilers tease that so much is happening with the Spencer family right now; with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) just escaping Ferncliff with the help of trusty BFF Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), how do you think they will deal with Laura’s husband, Kevin? He was her psychiatrist, someone she trusted and now he “betrayed” them. How will Laura cope with what Kevin did to Carly, especially since Laura has such a fragile mental health history herself?
