General Hospital News: Jack Wagner Stars In Hallmark Channel’s When Calls The Heart Christmas Special

Former “General Hospital” star Jack Wagner is joining the cast of “When Calls The Heart” Christmas special. The holiday special, which will return before the program’s seventh season on 2020, will find his character, Bill Avery search the entire town of Hope Valley for a misplaced gift that’s meant for his grandson.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) and her son, little Jack (Lincoln Taylor and Gunnar Taylor), will spend their first Christmas without her husband, Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing), and they’ll both be missing him terribly during the festive period. Despite that, she’ll try to make the holidays as special as possible for her son.
Constable Nathan Grant (Kevin McGarry) just moved in town and will be at a crossroads whether or not he’ll accept a job offer in another city. Elsewhere, Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally) will put together a Christmas party for everyone in town, not only to bring his family’s tradition to the forefront but also to gain Elizabeth’s attention.
Jack Wagner Hosts Cooking Show
Aside from this Hallmark Christmas special, Wagner also hosts “Hallmark Drama’s Christmas Cookie Matchup” in a game where Hallmark drama cast members go up against working chefs and bakers. The cooking competition airs every Wednesday night on Hallmark Drama while “When Calls The Heart: Home For Christmas” will premiere on December 25.

Jack Wagner’s Life and Career
The American actor and singer got his first acting role as Clint Masterson in “A New Day in Eden” back in 1982. His career skyrocketed when he took on the role as Frisco Jones on “General Hospital” from 1983 to 1987, 1989 to 1991, 1994 to 1995, and 2013.
His character was paired with Kristina Wagner’s Felicia Jones. Viewers loved their matchup and before long, they became a super couple. He appeared on several other TV films including “Moving Target,” “Lady Killer,” “Frequent Flyer,” and “Dirty Little Secret.”
From 1994 to 1999, he played Dr. Peter Burns on “Melrose Place. He didn’t only appear in front of the screen but also directed some of its episodes. Back in 1997, he appeared on “Sunset Beach” and on NBC’s “Titans” in 2000. He played Nick Marone on “The Bold and the Beautiful” from 2003 to 2012.
Aside from acting, Wagner is also known for his singing talents. He appeared on “American Bandstand,” “Solid Gold,” “Soul Train,” and “The Merv Griffin Show,” to name a few. He had several singles including “Love Can Take Us All The Way,” “It’s My Baby Too,” and “Will The Rain Fall Down.”
