General Hospital News: James Patrick Stuart Opens Up About His Own Mental Health StrugglesJames Patrick Stuart, known for his portrayal of Valentin Cassadine on “General Hospital,” posted a short video on Instagram and talked about his own mental health problems. His video, which is part of the 320 Changes Direction initiative, aims to end the stigma that’s been linked to mental health.

General Hospital New: James Patrick Stuart Speaks Out

Stuart continued, “And when I get into that place, I check in with myself. Have I been eating poorly? Am I not sleeping at all? Have I had too much screen time? And you know, I’ll check in with a friend. And if I have to, I’ll go talk to somebody. Those are the things that I’ll do. And I also remember more than anything that feelings are not facts and they tend to change.

320 Changes Direction campaign was started by Chester Bennington’s widow Talinda Benington. She has encouraged fans to share videos highlighting the importance of mental health. She has asked them to upload personal 30-second clips that talk about this topic.

Viewers know that her husband, which was the former frontman of the popular band Linkin Park, died in July 2017 when he committed suicide at the age of 41. In the wake of her husband’s passing, Talinda launched the mental health awareness campaign. Among the campaign’s primary objective is to offer support to those who are struggling with their mental health, make available help more accessible to those who need it, and to finally get rid of the stigma that revolves around mental health.
