General Hospital spoilers – Jonathan Jackson Is Living His Best Life
Jackson is married to his former GH costar Lisa Vultaggio (Hannah Scott) and the couple have three beautiful children together. They are now based in Ireland, the place that Jackson wryly noted is where Lucky took off to when he left Port Charles, New York.
Jackson reminisced about his Port Charles days and had warm words for several of his costars, in particular Genie Francis (Laura Collins) and Anthony Geary (Luke Spencer) who played his parents.
He recalls that his soap gig was an, “incredible foundation” for his successful acting career. His first contract was for three years and then he stayed another 2 ½ years. According to Jackson, he had, “deep love,” for the show but described the work as exhausting. The situation was still the same when he returned in 2009.

GH Spoilers – Lucky Spencer Is In Ireland And So Is Jonathan Jackson
He debuted on GH in 1993 at age 11. As he recalls he was 9-years old when his family traveled from Washington State to LA for vacation and they toured Universal Studios. His brother got to experiment with a green screen and once they were back home they began making home movies. The acting bug had bitten the brothers, and they begged their parents to let them act.
Prior to GH Jonathan did a few commercials but he said of GH that he, “had no idea what I was getting into.” Jackson called Anthony and Genie a “godsend” as he learned from watching them, and they answered every question he had with patience and treated him as a, “fellow performer.”

He said that he also felt close to Maurice Benard and even though they did not have many scenes together he spent a lot of time with him and his family and they would talk about acting and films.
Will fans ever see Jackson back as Lucky? He said that when he left in 1999 he always had it in his mind to come back periodically and has, “never been of that mentality of closing that door.”
In the meantime Jackson and his family have been living in Ireland since June 2020. He called the change of scenery, “quite an adventure,” and calls himself grateful to be living in such a beautiful country.
