“Everyone under the sun knows what GH is,” he said. “And I knew about Luke and Laura and the general concept, but the show was new to me.”
He explained that when he was cast, he worked really hard to know everything he needed about Port Charles. When he started to settle in nicely, he had the support of his parents and grandparents. However, his four sisters were a different story.
“I actually think my grandparents already watched GH, and they’re super excited,” Swickard explained. “I’ll get notes from them on what I did and what I need to do better. But my sisters don’t watch. I’ll try to send them clips. ‘Guys, look what I’m doing!’ And they’re like, ‘Okay, Josh,’” he shared.
Swickard joined the cast of “General Hospital” as Detective Harrison Chase back in February 2018. He was brought in by police commissioner Jordan Ashford (Brianna Nicole Henry) to Port Charles after the death of Nathan West (Ryan Paevey).
He was partnered with Dante Falconeri, who didn’t like him at first. Dante and the other cops tricked Harrison to join them on stage at the Nurses Ball benefit, only to get stranded on the stage by himself. But they didn’t expect Harrison to do so well as he performed solo, which earned him Dante’s respect.
In the show that’s full of twists and turns, it was revealed that Harrison is the half-brother of Dr. Hamilton Finn. They never really got along well but they eventually agreed to repair their relationship. Viewers also found out that he was Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) ex-boyfriend and helped Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) to set her up in a sting to confess to her multiple crimes. But their actions gave Nelle the opportunity to swap her newly born baby with Brad’s dead child without anyone knowing. Despite his guilt, Harrison continued to be friends with Michael.
Now, Harrison has developed a strong and serious relationship with Willow Tate (Katelyn MacMullen). She told him how she escaped the Dawn of Day and then Harrison promised to protect her against the cult and its leader, Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). So, when he received the news that there’s a warrant of arrest for Shiloh, he made sure he was the one to deliver the news.

Yes, good actor and plays the part well. I do not like the actress that they got to replace Valerie. Not very believable and Valerie was not so snippy as this girl is.
Yes, he’s great. But, please replace Valerie. She’s fine, but not as Valerie.
