General Hospital News – Kimberly McCullough & Fantasy Island Reboot Details

In an early statement, Fox described Fantasy Island as a “semi-anthology” series with “emotional, provocative stories about people who arrive with dreams and desires and depart enlightened and transformed through the magical realism of Fantasy Island.”

The series will act as a sequel to 2020’s Fantasy Island, which in turn acted as a prequel to ABC’s 1977 television series of the same name. While the 2020 feature film of the same name earned very poor reviews, it was a box office success, earning $48.5 million to its $7 million budget.

Roselyn Sanchez will play the descendant of Ricardo Montalban’s Mr. Roarke. The series is set to premiere on August 10, at 9 p.m.

Picked up in December, Kimberly McCullough and the series will follow a host of odd characters who arrive at the island to live their wildest fantasies but will depart enlightened and transformed through the island’s magical realism. It is said to be horrifying, provocative, emotional, and transforming.

Sanchez’s Elena Roarke sacrificed the love of her life in order to uphold the family’s legacy as stewards of the mysterious Fantasy Island.
