General Hospital News: Kin Shriner Recovering From Surgery

General Hospital News: Kin Shriner Recovering From SurgeryViewers of “General Hospital” were caught off guard when Scott Baldwin, portrayed by Kin Shriner, appeared on screen with the aid of a knee scooter. Fans were quick to note Shriner has been using the scooter not only in the soap but in real life as well.

One follower finally asked if he injured himself, to which he responded yes and that it was from a boating accident. This explained why he was seen wearing a brace in the photos where he and his fellow “General Hospital” cast members shared when they went on a reunion lunch with Stuart Damon.

Knowing that viewers will definitely have questions, Shriner addressed the topic after the episode aired. At first he joked on Twitter, “Color TV #OnThisDay debuted 68 years ago today. I was lucky to be on @GeneralHospital today. Scotty on scooter and all to celebrate anniversary !!” After that, he admitted that he was injured in a boating accident.

He also said he, “Had 4 hour foot surgery 2 weeks prior. But the show must go on @GeneralHospital !!!” In another Twitter post, he shared a photo of himself using the scooter next to the photo of James Bond actor Daniel Craig, he said “Q not giving James Bond high tech injured foot gadget. Scott Baldwin @GeneralHospital has smoke screen, high speed, rear jets !!!!” It is unknown when Shriner injured his foot. But since episodes of “General Hospital” are filmed a month in advance, the accident may have happened sometime in May or earlier.

Of all the other roles he has played, Shriner is best known for his role as Scott Baldwin in “General Hospital.” He landed the job back in 1977 and since then he has left the show several times but still remained as a regular cast member.

When he is not in “General Hospital,” he’s in other soap operas playing different characters. He appeared in “Port Charles” and “The Young and The Restless.” His other TV credits include “The Six Million Dollar Man,” “The Love Boat,” “Full House,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless,” and “As the World Turns.”

It looks like we’re in for a great episode on Wednesday! As always, more detailed Spoilers and Breaking news will appear here on Celebrating The Soaps!

Yes, I loved watching him. He adds some comedy to the play when it gets kind of serious like Oscar dying which by the way was the wrong move on the writers . Scotty should stay as long as the rest of the original cast. I am aging myself but when he was a teen he was madly in love with Laura and Bobbie was madly in love with him. Lots of word fights but everything worked out. Love this show and hope it lasts as long as I do.

Like Scott with Lucy and it would be a great chance to bring Serene back on the show.
