General Hospital News: Ryan Paevey Joins Cast Of New Hallmark Movie

Ryan Paevey is keeping himself busy after leaving “General Hospital” as Nathan West. He has landed a gig in an upcoming Hallmark Channel movie called “Christmas at the Plaza.” Nothing much has been revealed about the movie but it’s been announced that the film is set to air on November 29.

Paevey shared some behind the scene photos on his official Instragram account. One of the pictures showed the grand entrance to the Plaza Hotel. One could surmise that some scenes from the movie was shot in the hotel but most of it may be taking place in Canada.

Paevey will be working with Elizabeth Henstridge as they portray the role of Nick and Jessica in the film. According to IMDb, the pair will find romance at the Plaza Hotel during the holiday season. The movie is written and directed by Ron Oliver, who’s known to be the man behind several other Hallmark productions.

Before and After General Hospital

Paevey started out as a model before becoming an actor. He worked in music videos and appeared on various TV commercials. He was encouraged to try “real” acting. Soon after, he auditioned and landed his first acting gig on the ABC sudser.

Paevey debuted on “General Hospital” as Detective James Nathan West in December 2013. His character first appeared on the soap when as a newly transferred cop to the Port Charles Police Department. After a few years, he was dubbed as “Detective Sexypants” and “Maximista.”

Nathan became a fan favorite in the show. Even though he was doing well in the soap, Paevey took other projects. He appeared on two TV movies including “Unleashing Mr. Darcy” in 2016 and “Harvest Love” in 2017.

Viewers of the show were saddened after Paevey announced that he’s living the show. So, the writers of “General Hospital” created his exit storyline wherein his character got involved in a tragic shooting that caused his death. After spending four long years in the show, his final episode was aired on February 2018.

His fans didn’t have to wait that long to see their favorite celebrity back on their screens. Paevey appeared as Donovan Darcy in the movie “Marrying Mr. Darcy.” He also joined the cast of two other Hallmark movies called “Hope at Christmas” and “From Friend to Fiancé.”

Apart from his upcoming Hallmark movie “Christmas at the Plaza,” Paevey also appeared on “A Summer Romance,” which was a Hallmark film that premiered last September 10.
