General Hospital News: Soap Fave Kelly Monaco Recuperating After Major Surgery!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal GH fan favorite Kelly Monaco, who portrays Samantha “Sam” McCall has taken to her personal Instagram account to reveal to fans that she is in good spirits, although exhausted after having major surgery.

Kelly Monaco explains that for over the past 10 years, she was suffering from excruciating and chronic pain from a torn labrum in her hip; the result of an injury years prior. She tells fans, “I have finally taking the first steps in bettering my health and myself. Looking forward to MANY positive changes coming soon!” The brave actress posted photos, thanking several people, including Executive Producer Frank Valentini and ABC’s General Hospital for the flowers and for always having her back.

General Hospital sources tease that it is unclear whether Kelly Monaco’s health crisis and medical procedure will interfere with her time on-screen, so be sure to check CTS often for updates on this developing story!

Sam McCall has been busy with her new PI business with partner, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) after she ended her marriage with Drew Cain (Billy Miller). Things have been rather confusing for Monaco’s character, Sam as she continues to care about Drew and his twin brother, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton); but as viewers of the ABC soap opera know, its clear that her feelings for Jason have never died.
