General Hospital News Update: GH Alum Kristen Alderson Asks Fans For Prayers

ABC General Hospital spoilers reveal the sad news that Kristen Alderson (ex Kiki Jerome) is facing a medical emergency with her beloved dog Pooka. She let fans in on what’s happening with Pooka in a series of tweets.

he tweeted this to her fans first: “(1) Hate asking again but you guys have been the most incredible support system & prayer group. You helped pray for Eddie through his Cancer, protected my Granny from COVID in her nursing home (she never caught it) and now I hope you guys can please say a prayer for Pooka.”

General Hospital Spoilers – Kristen Alderson Needs Your Prayers Right Now

Next, she explained who Pooka is writing, “Pooka (my dog/baby for those who don’t know him) is in the ICU with congestive heart failure. We rushed him there last night when he seemed to have trouble breathing. They called us this morning that he went from bad to worse. As of now, he’s doing a little better.”

Kristen then posted, “(3)We went to visit him, but because he’s doing better right now, they don’t want to risk him getting excited &messing with his heart. It’s horrific to not be w/ him right now, but obviously we have to do what’s best. He’s in the best hands. Just praying that he gets through this.”

Kristen sounds like she’s handling her pet’s crisis the very best she can but of course, it has got to be difficult and extremely hard for her to face this kind of situation.

General Hospital Spoilers – Kristen Alderson Is Facing A Difficult Situation With Her Beloved Dog Pooka

Kristen’s first tweet refers to her brother Eddie Alderson who played Matthew Buchanan on One Life to Live. The star was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2017 and both and Kristen were very public about his courageous battle which lasted two years. Last September the actor shared on his Insta with fans that there was no longer any active cancer in his body.

Kristen also referenced her grandma who she previously shared with fans is in a nursing home. Kristen was understandably fearful for her health due to the coronavirus pandemic. Elderly individuals are at high risk for contracting the virus and nursing homes have been especially hard hit with many experiencing a wave of infections.

Thankfully Kristen’s brother and grandmother are doing well and we send the very best wishes that her dog Pooka is feeling better very soon.
