Nina practically flew into Jax’ arms when she fled her wedding, with Jax arriving a little bit late. Had it not been for Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) and her all-too-public exposure of Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) and the fake daughter secret, Nina and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) would have already taken their vows and embarked on their second marriage.
Fans are deeply divided on the “Valentina” issue, with some wanting them to stay together, and some feeling never should they have been put together to begin with! Those fans see Valentin as a deeply evil person and Nina as someone who is a fragile, wounded woman who could never do any wrong – period. Others root for “Valentina” knowing both are imperfect people and even though Valentin goes about things the wrong way, at least he usually means well and has tried to redeem himself from the evil he admittedly has done in the past.
General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Reeves Kidnapped Avery Corinthos-Jerome
Nina was not always the successful business woman fans see today either. The obsession with having a baby of her own drove her to drug Ava Jerome (Maura West) and cause her to go into labor, and then Nina kidnapped baby Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola) and ran off to Canada with her, with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) with her.
Franco was nowhere near redeemed back then either in fans’ eyes or on the television screen, but wanted to protect his good friend Nina and the baby, and helped Port Charles Police find them and bring them back safely, after which Nina spent some time in Shadybrook and tangled with Heather Webber (Robin Mattson). Franco gave himself some LSD so he would be admitted as well so he could protect Nina!

Longtime General Hospital viewers, at least for the last five years or so, will remember that Nina came to Port Charles as the ex-wife of Silas Clay (Michael Easton) who had recently come out of a coma. At first she was in a wheelchair but then was able to walk again, although she faked paralysis for a time to gain sympathy. Silas was the father of Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) with Ava, which is what spurred Nina to put Ava into labor and steal Avery.

She was involved also for a very short time with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) whom she married on a whim, but he was using her in a con to get her money, being in cahoots with her mother, Madeline Reeves (Donna Mills) with whom he was having an affair. She and Franco had been involved between her involvements with Ric and Valentin.
It may present a challenge for you, the fans to compare a pairing of Nina and Jax with any other men in Port Charles, since there is a shortage of eligible bachelors. If we threw some non-eligible mens’ hats into the ring, which would be very soapy if General Hospital were to do that, we could list Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and possibly Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton).
