General Hospital’s Sonny has been crying over his father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail) for months on end. It is said that Mike has Alzheimer’s disease but that is not Sonny’s fault. Sonny is not the one who walked out on his family. Sonny is not the one who allowed his son to be abused for years. Sonny is certainly not responsible for Mike getting the disease.

Seeing the softer side of Sonny was good for a while but writers have him crying more than Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) these days. Sonny is doing everything he can to help his father but his life cannot center around him. Sonny needs to take care of business as well.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Is A Huge Threat

General Hospital’s Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is a huge threat to everyone in Port Charles. Cyrus has tried to take out Sonny’s entire family. Sonny would never stay by and let Cyrus get by with the attacks on himself and his family. Mike’s illness has distracted Sonny from the Cyrus situation but something needs to change. Cyrus has Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) under his thumb right now. Someone needs to be protecting Port Charles from this drug pusher and that has always been Sonny. Sonny cannot simply concentrate on Mike’s condition when his family and territory are at stake. Sonny’s life needs to have some balance. Port Charles needs Sonny’s help.

Sonny’s Bipolar Disorder Could Be Affected

General Hospital’s Sonny needs to consider his health as well when concentrating so much on his father. Sonny has bipolar disorder and all of the stress he is under is not good for him. Sonny needs to continue to concentrate on his business and his life as well as his father. When Sonny is stressed, he tends to go off his medication and that is not something he needs to do at this time. Sonny cannot afford to be vulnerable when Cyrus is trying to move in on his territory. Sonny can’t let Mike’s illness consume him. Sonny needs to use his frustration to his advantage and take down Cyrus while he can.

General Hospital’s Sonny fans adore him no matter what he does but we want our mobster back in his full glory. Sonny needs to be kicking ass and taking names instead of crying constantly over something he cannot change. Sonny should stop blaming himself for his father’s mistakes and enjoy the time he has left with his father. Sonny should stop letting this consume him before he loses himself trying to make up for lost time. Port Charles needs Sonny the mobster to return ASAP.
