General Hospital spoilers for Monday, October 12, tease that Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) issues a warning, while Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has second thoughts. Plus, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) panics as Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) makes threats!
Key Takeaways
- Ezra issues a warning
- Trina has second thoughts
- Josslyn targets Sonny’s business
- Ric brings encouraging news
- Drew threatens Lulu
Ezra’s Warning
Councilman Ezra Boyle, rarely in the spotlight, has stepped in to temporarily cover for Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) while she’s away and has called Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) in for a meeting.
When she arrives, Carly questions, “Is there a particular concern you’d like me to alert them to?”
Boyle found himself deeply entangled in the influence wielded by Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and, to a lesser degree, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) from the previous summer.
Given his insider knowledge of sensitive matters, he likely anticipates potential retaliation from those still loyal to Sidwell operating beyond prison walls.
His real worry probably centers on the fallout that could affect certain individuals, which is why he’s asking Carly to give them advance notice.
Trina’s Second Thoughts
Meanwhile, Trina and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) are chatting, and Trina is now having second thoughts about pushing Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to relocate.
Emma appears downhearted, possibly reacting to Gio’s profound disillusionment with his grandfather, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Like most Port Charles residents, except for Carly and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), Trina suspects Sonny orchestrated the Pentonville attacks.
Gio had reconsidered his position and asked Sonny not to help him and Trina find a music manager.
Trina may now understand that she should have kept these two separate matters distinct rather than intertwining them.
The tension between Trina and Gio has been building ever since Trina confronted Gio over Sonny’s alleged involvement in the Pentonville attack.
Hudson Tries To Discourage Josslyn From Using JJE To Take Down Sonny
Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) continues his efforts to dissuade Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) from leveraging Jasper Jacks Enterprises to acquire Sonny’s business holdings.
This is a strategy he views as unwise.
The enterprise has been operating at a loss based on recent discussions, and Hudson remains steadfast in his opposition to using corporate resources to settle Josslyn’s personal vendetta against her former stepfather.
It now appears that Josslyn is considering bidding against Sonny for Jenz Sidwell’s properties at an upcoming auction, insisting to Hudson that the investment is worthwhile simply to see Sonny defeated!
Ric’s Encouraging News
Meanwhile, Ric Lansing and Sonny meet at Sonny’s residence, where Ric appears to bring encouraging news.
Sonny’s visible relief is evident as he tells Ric, “That’s the best news I’ve had all day!”
Ric may have uncovered investigative findings that could establish Sonny’s innocence or discovered a promising development.
Regardless, he’s working to uplift his half-brother’s spirits, and Sonny appears to be feeling more optimistic.
Despite the mounting controversy, Sonny remains committed to his legitimate business pursuits and is determined to vindicate himself!
Lulu’s Panic
Meanwhile, Drew has managed to locate Lulu Spencer at her residence and begins hurling threats her way!
Just as she’s about to reach for her phone, he cuts her off abruptly.
“Touch that phone even once, and I’ll smash it to pieces with my own two hands!”
Lulu appears visibly shaken. Could Dante unexpectedly arrive on the scene, or perhaps another guest who discovers Drew’s threatening behavior?
On top of everything else, Lulu faces the prospect of a defamation lawsuit.
Drew has already been rattled by Lulu’s exposé, which could expose far more than he anticipated.
Is Drew genuinely putting her life in danger, or is he simply full of bluster and arrogance?
Annemarie’s Take
I think Drew has completely lost control. Threatening Lulu in her own home is outrageous, especially when she’s already facing a possible lawsuit.
And Josslyn needs to think carefully before using JJE to settle her personal score with Sonny. This could backfire on her in a big way.
I’m also hoping Ric has finally uncovered something that will help clear Sonny’s name.
What do you think? Has Drew gone too far with Lulu, and will Josslyn regret going after Sonny’s business?
