‘General Hospital’ Recap April 29: Jason Tells Gio The Truth & Drew Makes A Spectacle Of Himself

If you missed General Hospital today Tuesday, April 29, then you missed IT, a fabulous episode. Here is a recap!

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) are seated at the bar at The Savoy getting acquainted. He tells her that he has transferred to PCU from the Bay area, which instantly grabs her attention.

Henry asks Anna about her job, and she dodges. She also refuses to give him her phone number, but instead says that Port Charles is small, so they’ll likely run into each other again. (Make sure to check out our next week GH spoilers, here!)

Anna then leaves and meets her granddaughter, Emma Drake (Braedyn Bruner), for coffee. Emma admits to purposely trying to get into Dalton’s class because she never made the cut back in school in California.

She insists that anything else between herself and the professor’s timing in arriving in Port Charles is coincidental.

After Anna exited, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made her move to the bar. She briefly chats with Dalton about his class and how she would love to get the summer research assistant position that he will have available.

The professor tells her to work hard, but it’s unlikely that she’ll get the position even if she does.

Jason Tells Gio The Truth About Sonny

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) is trying to convince Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) that his uncle, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), is bad news.

As she leaves the room, she suggests that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) tell Gio what happened to his brother, AJ. Gio asks, and Jason suggests that he just let the topic go.

Gio leans in and wants to know the truth, so Jason tells him that Sonny killed AJ after seeing him try to kill Ava Jerome (Maura West). Jason says that is the story that Sonny told him, and that he chooses to believe Sonny.

People have negative opinions of him, but Jason says that the Sonny that he knows is generous, supportive, and kind.

Gio agrees that is the Sonny that he also knows, and Jason suggests that Gio needs to make up his own mind about how he feels. He can still love Sonny without alienating the Q’s completely.

Drew Makes A New Friend And An Old One

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) storms into Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) office to threaten her again. This time, he demands that she get her husband, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), to go after Sonny publicly.

He wants Curtis to use Aurora resources to help with the referendum against Sonny, and if he doesn’t do it then Drew threatens to expose Portia’s secrets.

She pushes back and then tells him she needs time. Drew storms off to meet Tracy at the Port Charles Grill, and Portia calls Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).

Their plan is all set, Nina has given Jacinda her instructions, and all she needed was a location. Jacinda is off to the Port Charles Grill to meet the Congressman.

Drew arrives and sits with Tracy, who says that they now share a common goal, getting rid of Sonny. She says that if Drew gets rid of Sonny from Pier’s 55 and 56 that it is a show of family loyalty, and he can have the Quartermaine name back.

Drew orders another drink, and Jacinda is seated at the bar waiting for an opportunity. As the bartender sets Drew’s drink in front of her, Jacinda dumps a vial of Ketamine into it.

She watches as he drinks it, and when Tracy leaves, Jacinda moves to sit with Drew, who is already feeling the drug. He is suddenly in a great mood and suggests that they go somewhere livelier.

Drew Makes A Scene While Cheating On Willow At The Savoy

It is a busy night at The Savoy. Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) are at a table talking about what it has been like for him to reunite with his biological father as an adult.

Marco Rios (Adrian Archando) and Lucas Spencer (Van Hansis) are at another table sharing their messy family trees. Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) had just introduced Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) to Marco, so they are at a table nearby discussing the complexities of parenthood.

Curtis and his ex, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), have been discussing her new COO job with Sidwell when Portia joins them.

Then, in stumbles Drew with the escort. Everyone sees them together immediately, and Drew keeps kissing Jacinda. He then yells that it is time for body shots and tosses Jacinda up onto the bar.

He proceeds to do shots off of her stomach as people, including Lulu, film his meltdown. Jordan tries to drag him out the door but fails miserably.

Portia dips into a corner and calls Nina to tell her that their plan worked even better than they had hoped.
