‘General Hospital’ Recap August 5: Sidwell’s Plot Revealed & Willow’s Next Man?

 

General Hospital recap for Tuesday, August 5, 2025, is finally here! In today’s episode, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) issues a threat.

However, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has one ace up her sleeve. Plus, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) is there for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Also, Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) grills Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).

Anna Devane’s Hostage Situation

At the WSB, Anna’s black hood is taken off and she realizes it’s Brennan. Next time, he could just call her instead of going to these extremes. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Jack insists he’s saving her as she’s coming too close to compromising a case. Brennan is aware that he had Anna kidnapped and how serious that is. He wants to try a new tactic: telling her everything.

Jack Brennan Explains

Brennan explains that Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton (Daniel Goddard) is doing research on cold fusion. Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) is involved because the cold fusion could be turned into a weapon.

Anna is furious over Brennan making Joss an agent. Brennan says Joss is good at what she does. Jack threatens with charging Anna with treason. However, she knows that Jack is boxed in as well and smiles.

Then, Anna warns that there will be hell to pay when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) finds out before exiting. Anna also recalls Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) telling her about Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

Michael Corinthos’ Intel

Over at the Quartermaine mansion, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) opens up to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

The dad tells the detective that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was the one who targeted Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) and Daisy Gilmore Corinthos (Evelyn and Brenden Beimford).

Dante asks about opening up an inquiry, but Michael says “not yet.” However, Michael says that the kids aren’t safe with Willow anymore.

Willow Tait’s Next Man

At the hospital, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) runs into Willow. The nurse asks about her kids, but Chase reassures her they are good. Now Willow has to find a way to fix all the damage.

Carly strolls by, glaring at Willow. The nurse asks her for one minute of her time. Willow tries apologizing for everything, and says Carly was right.

However, Carly explains that Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) said the same thing, and she’s not buying it. Carly adds that she’s not the one that needs apologizing to, anyway, then struts off.

Portia Robinson’s Update

At the Metro Court, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) meets Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner). The man tells her about the truce with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). The congressman still has the blackmail information on Portia. They talk and Curtis admits he hasn’t been there for her as he should have been. Curtis calls Portia’s courage “hot.”

Justine Turner vs Marco Rios

The camera then zooms over to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott), Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and Marco. Tracy just found out about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) bad investment.

The villain pretends to be shocked. Tracy explains they returned Sonny’s investment, but they will need to hand it over to the cops.

Sidwell tells her no. Tracy isn’t asking for permission. Then, Turner arrives to question Marco. The lawyer won’t go with Turner.

So, she blurts out that he lied in the statement to police. Sonny was the one who really had him kidnapped. Marco just says he signed his statement. Turner leaves.

Back to Sidwell, he tells Tracy that she won’t have a company left to protect if she exposes herself now. Marco says Sonny covered his tracks well.

Sidwell knows Michael and Willow’s custody judge was bribed. It was probably Sonny, he reasons. Oh, what a snake!

Over with Carly, she brings Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) his mail. The blonde misses him and asks him to come home. It’s all about Sonny and Lucas says he’ll get his own place. There will be a key for him whenever he wants to stop by.

Jason Morgan’s Bombshell

At the pool, Jason and Sonny drink. The right-hand man tells the mob boss that Britt is alive! Then, Turner interrupts to challenge Sonny about the baseball game. After she leaves, Sonny says everything with Turner is going according to plan.
