Today on General Hospital – Jenz Worried About Portia’s Claims Of Drew’s Blackmail

At the Boxing Day party at Wyndemere, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) told Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) he was worried about Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) claims that Drew blackmailed her.

He reminded Drew he was only valuable if he stayed in office. Sidwell needed to choose whether to fully support Drew or cut ties, so he asked Jordan to check with the mayor’s office about any case against Drew. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) arrived after dropping Scout at Alexis’s house. Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) told Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) he wanted to avoid Mrs. Cain by going to their bedroom.

Marco Suggested Lucas Should Make Peace

Marco told Lucas to make up with Willow or at least act okay; taking his advice, Lucas started chatting with Willow about her kids after seeing them on her phone.

But their conversation quickly turned into a fight about Willow’s children. Lucas said he had to move to Boston after giving Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) up because it was too painful to be near the son he lost.

Willow replied that she wouldn’t give up her kids or leave them-then Drew came in and told Lucas to stay away from his wife.

He walked out-not wanting to see Lucas again, Willow decided to pick up Scout from Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) house.

Father And Son Toasted The End Of A Tough Year

Later, Sidwell and his son toasted the end of a tough year, which included Marco’s mother passing away. Marco expressed gratitude for the distraction of working at Miller & Davis but insisted that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) must pay for Natalia Ramirez’s (Eva LaRue) death with his life.

Sidwell joked that Sonny was paying in other ways, and Marco praised his dad for blaming Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) murder on Sonny and Laura, then using it to blackmail them.

“Now you see why I need to keep Sonny Corinthos alive for now. Don’t worry, once I’m done with him, he’s a dead man,” Sidwell said, and they clinked glasses.

Marco And Lucas Discussed Putting On Acts Or Not, Drew Reassured Sidwell

Reconnecting with Marco, Lucas admitted he struggled to get along with Willow, and Marco joked that it was good Lucas was a doctor, not a lawyer.

Lucas asked his boyfriend not to act like a lawyer around him because he wanted all of Marco, even the parts he wasn’t proud of. Marco said he loved being himself with Lucas and agreed that their relationship was “open and honest.”

But as they hugged, guilt crossed Marco’s face, knowing he wasn’t being fully honest with Lucas. As Drew left Wyndemere, he told Sidwell not to worry about the blackmail claims-Sidwell replied he hoped that was true because he needed the congressman in Washington after the new year.

Kevin Offered A Job In Dublin, Jordan Had Useful Information For Laura

Kevin told his wife he got a job offer to teach for six months in Dublin and wanted Laura to come with him. Since she had just been reelected, the timing wasn’t great, but Laura said he should still go; then, Jordan arrived.

While Kevin checked on Ace Cassadine (Karis and Kieran Barry)  upstairs, Jordan shared some useful info about Sidwell with Laura.

She explained that at the Boxing Day party, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring)  looked jealous when Sidwell flirted with Ava Jerome (Maura West).

They agreed that if Lucy and Ava were both after Sidwell, they could use that to their advantage, especially Lucy’s impulsive nature.

Jordan Worried About Laura, She Denied Anything Was Wrong-Kevin Turned Down The Job

As Jordan stepped out, she sensed that something wasn’t quite right with Laura; however, Laura insisted she was perfectly fine. When Kevin returned downstairs, he informed Laura that he had decided against taking the teaching position.

In response, Laura suggested that they ought to remain open to various possibilities, particularly given the fact that Sidwell was blackmailing her.

She insisted he couldn’t pass up such a lucrative position, even if she was unable to join him, which he’d requested. Kevin then retorted that he simply couldn’t abandon her during such a challenging time, especially in light of the Sidwell predicament.

Sonny Encountered Turner At Café Cherie

Sonny met Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) at Café Cherie, where they talked about the trial’s direction during Portia’s testimony.

Sonny mentioned that Justine showed kindness by protecting Portia from more humiliation during cross-examination. Justine joked about not needing a reputation for compassion in court, but she eventually agreed that she didn’t like seeing Portia traumatized on the stand.

However, Justine believed Portia committed a crime and should face the consequences. Sonny argued that good people sometimes make bad choices for their loved ones, and he had to protect his family from his past mistakes.

Sonny Sympathized With Portia

He sympathized with Portia, sharing that he had experienced both sides of infidelity, which is complex. Justine responded that court operates differently, and her only mercy could be a plea deal before trial or leniency during sentencing.

Sonny thanked her for the grace she showed Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), saying he never forgets such kindness towards loved ones. Justine pointed out the difference between a teen who makes a mistake and a career criminal, stating there’s no gray area for repeat offenders in her court.

When Sonny suggested she might one day have to do the wrong thing for someone she loves, Justine scoffed, saying he could rationalize anything-Sonny said he didn’t need to rationalize anything and left.

Danny And Scout Unintentionally Spent Time Together

Thanks to Willow, the Davis girls and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) had a late Christmas with Scout. Alexis told Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) that Drew said Danny couldn’t come, but when he showed up, the siblings wanted to be together.

While Danny and Scout built snow people in the backyard, Alexis told the others she felt torn between respecting Drew and not hurting Danny by saying he had to leave.

When the kids came back inside, Cody asked Scout to help make hot chocolate so Alexis, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and Kristina could talk to Danny.

Danny was disappointed but understood they had to follow Drew’s rules-he said an emotional goodbye to his sister while the family held back tears.

Cody Drove Danny Home

Cody volunteered to take Danny home, and as they departed, Alexis embraced her granddaughter while Scout sobbed, expressing that she didn’t want her brother to go.

Scout revealed that Danny was the only one who truly understood the pain of not having their mom around anymore.

Alexis comforted her by saying that Danny would always be her brother, despite the current complications between him and her dad.

Alexis then advised Scout to keep Danny’s visit a secret from her dad, to prevent Drew from getting upset and to keep Danny out of trouble, and Scout promised to keep it to herself.

Tracy praised Michael’s girlfriend for reinventing herself as Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) assistant at Crimson.

While Jacinda went to the powder room, Michael thanked Tracy for being nice to his girlfriend, but she said she had to be kind to Jacinda since they were both lying to protect him.
