‘General Hospital’ Recap February 23: Maxie’s Choice, Forbidden Kiss, Brutal Brawl 

General Hospital fans, here is your recap for Monday, February 23, 2026! In today’s episode, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) makes her choice.

Michael Corinthos Released

At the police department, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) talks to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Justine Turner (Nanzeen Contractor).

The lawyer explains that Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) busted Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) with Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) keyring. 

Michael doesn’t want to bring his child into this situation. Ric reminds them that this isn’t the first time that Chase has done misconduct. Chase’s actions are criminal! Justine tells Michael he can go. 

Dante admits that Chase was the one with the idea about the search. Justine worries that the officer could have tampered with evidence.

Dante will speak with Chase before they make any accusations. Ric urges his client to steer clear of Chase. 

Missing Emma Scorpio-Drake

Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) meets with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). They bring up Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner). Gio misses his girl but her family needs her. Gio fears that Emma might not come back.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) texts Gio. She’s on her way. Sonny decides it’s time for him to leave. Before he can, he bumps into Justine. They get a table together. Justine is upset but can’t talk about it. Sonny pushes. Justine says it’s Michael.

The ADA vents about Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen). Sonny says she can’t blame herself. The lady storms out.

Sonny Corinthos’ Kiss

Sonny follows her and they end up sharing a passionate kiss. Meanwhile, Joss sits down with Gio. They talk about Emma. Josslyn brings out Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) book. She needs to talk to Emma. Gio begs her to just drop it.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) warns Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Adoption won’t be easy.

Chase asks if his demotion will hurt their chances. Alexis says being demoted isn’t a crime. Once Alexis exits, BLQ assures her husband. They have no reason to worry. 

Harrison Chase’s Brawl

Michael interrupts and starts ranting. The man accuses Chase of setting him up. The men start to brawl and Michael punches Chase in the face. Dante breaks them up.

Michael screams that Chase is guilty and even Wiley knows it! BLQ starts questioning Michael. Chase leaves, so BLQ runs after him.

Dante explains that evidence is compromised. They can’t build a case against him. Now Dante believes Michael is innocent. 

At Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) place, Wiley tells his mom that he doesn’t like it there. Before falling asleep, Wiley tells Willow that Michael wanted to take him to Hawaii.

Ric stops by the law office. The man is sure that Chase has ruined the case against Michael. Ric says he’s changed and family is important.

Alexis wants to believe him, but can’t right now. For the first time, he doesn’t have an agenda. That’s why he’s helping Sonny. 

Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) gets Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) to open up. Lulu doesn’t want him doubting how much Maxie loves him.

Spinelli knows but doesn’t think that can compete with Maxie’s love for Nathan West (Ryan Paevey). Lulu continues trying to counsel him. 

Maxie Jones’ Decision

Over at the cemetery, Maxie hugs Nathan. Then, she backs away. She didn’t upgrade her phone for years because she didn’t want his messages erased. Maxie knows he didn’t leave, he was taken. 

Nathan knows about Spinelli. They know that whatever happens, there will be a mess. Maxie doesn’t want to prolong the pain. She’ll always love him. 

Once Maxie gets home, she explains she met with Nathan. She’ll always love him, but who she loves right now is Spinelli. Meanwhile, Nathan goes to the Brown Dog and sees Lulu.
