Sonny’s Slapped

Pushing Sonny away, Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) slapped him and stated that they could never kiss again.

She then met with Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) at the hatchet range, and when she expressed that she had done something “incredibly stupid and unprofessional,” Jordan correctly guessed it was related to Sonny.

Explaining how she had let her guard down and confided in Sonny after a tough day at work, Justine mentioned that it didn’t seem like he had any hidden agenda.

She reiterated that she thought he had merely provided a listening ear. She questioned whether that made her naïve.

Jordan Suggested Justine Use The Connection To Encourage Sonny To Be More Open

Jordan suggested that Justine leverage the connection she had built with Sonny to encourage him to be more open with her.

When Justine asserted that she would not hesitate to use any evidence she had against Sonny to bring him to justice, Jordan praised her for understanding where to set boundaries.

However, Jordan cautioned that Justine was still the Acting D.A.  And as one of the most significant crime lords on the Eastern seaboard, Sonny might only value her as long as she didn’t obstruct his interests.

Sonny Confided In Ric

In the meantime, Sonny confronted Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), questioning whether it was illegal to kiss an acting district attorney.

He elaborated that he and Justine had been getting to know each other, and although their kiss was mutual, she had pushed him away and then slapped him.

Ric was concerned that Turner might twist the situation into unwanted attention and accuse Sonny of harassment.

But Sonny believed Justine wouldn’t do that: she was ambitious, yet not corrupt. Ric inquired about the extent of Sonny and Justine’s interactions.

Ric Asked Sonny More Specifics About Him And Justine

Ric asked whether he had crossed any boundaries, and Sonny recalled the night he had rented the hatchet range for their dinner.

Instead of giving a straightforward answer, Sonny stated that he was only sharing this with Ric because he was his lawyer.

Ric pressed for clarity on whether there was something genuine between Sonny and Justine, or if it was merely a tactic to distract Justine and undermine her position.

Sonny maintained that it wasn’t a scheme on his part, but Ric speculated if Justine might be leveraging their growing closeness to collect evidence against him.

Nathan Invited Lulu To Meet Him At The Brown Dog

Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) invited Lulu Spencer  to meet him at the Brown Dog, leading her to believe he was going to announce his reconciliation with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

However, he surprised her by revealing that Maxie had chosen Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) instead. This took Lulu aback since she recalled the deep love Nathan and Maxie once shared.

Nathan explained that he understood Maxie’s choice, noting that so much had changed in her life during his absence, and they had both evolved.

When Lulu questioned what Nathan would have done if Maxie had chosen him, he admitted he would have respected their marriage.

Lulu Was Hesitant

Lulu appeared taken aback when Nathan mentioned that if it were his choice, he would have liked to explore a relationship with her.

With Maxie content with Spinelli, Nathan felt that he and Lulu were free to pursue something together if they wished, but Lulu doubted her best friend would feel the same.

Nathan insisted that Maxie would want them to find happiness, yet Lulu pointed out that wanting them to be happy and wanting them to be happy together were not the same.

She reiterated her desire not to hurt Maxie, but Nathan asserted that delving into their feelings was worth a bit of discomfort.

Lulu reached for his hand across the table but hesitated, still uncertain; he then asked her if she wanted to end whatever was developing between them.

Chase Is In Trouble

In their bedroom, Brook Lynn Quartermaine Chase (Amanda Setton) expressed to Chase that she would always support him.

But she needed to clarify whether Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) claim about him being responsible for Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting was true.

Chase maintained that he wasn’t attempting to frame Michael, yet he dodged Brook Lynn’s inquiries regarding the keys.

When she pressed him for answers about his actions, Chase revealed that he wasn’t the one who placed the key there.

But he did play a part in the PCPD obtaining the warrant because he anticipated they would uncover a key to the Cain residence.

Brook Lynn And Chase Continued To Argue

He then recounted how he found out that Michael had a key to Drew’s front door. But when he suggested it was tangible proof that Michael had shot Drew, Brook Lynn retorted that Michael wouldn’t be foolish enough to frame Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) while still keeping the key.

Chase went on to clarify that he had compromised the chain of evidence, making anything he discovered inadmissible.

He needed someone else to find the evidence, so he proposed to Nathan that the PCPD investigate whether Michael had a key to Drew’s house.

Enraged that her husband had manipulated his colleague, Brook Lynn shouted that he had crossed a line and couldn’t comprehend why he would do something he knew was wrong.

Brook Lynn Gave An Ultimatum

Brook Lynn continued, since Willow was free and had her children back, “The only reason for this is that you seek revenge on Michael for what you believe he did to Willow,” she fumed.

Chase retorted sharply that Michael could not escape the consequences of shooting a congressman in the back not just once, but twice, and then attempting to pin the blame on Willow.

This reaction led his wife to remind him that they had no concrete evidence proving that Michael was indeed guilty of the crime.

Fearing that his actions could jeopardize not only Chase’s future career but also their hopes of adopting a child, Brook Lynn issued an ultimatum.

Brook Lynn insisted that he choose between seeking justice and their dream of starting a family.

Lucas Clashed With Pascal

After being summoned by the hospital, Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) was intercepted by Pascal (Marc Forget), Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) as he was leaving Wyndemere.

Following a sharp exchange with Pascal, Marco accompanied his boyfriend outside, and Lucas felt annoyed when Marco suggested he should call ahead before coming back to the house later.

Meanwhile, Sidwell chastised Pascal for openly displaying his animosity towards Lucas, despite their prior agreement for him to restrain himself.

The butler claimed that Lucas was a deceitful liar who could jeopardize their situation if his boss wasn’t cautious.

Sidwell assured him that he would manage Marco and Lucas and ordered Pascal to refrain from voicing his worries again.

Sidwell Sent Pascal Away, And Marco Broached The Subject Of He And Lucas Moving Out

As Marco made his way back to the living room, Sidwell sent Pascal away. Marco proposed to his father that, considering Lucas’s hectic schedule, they might want to look for a place on the mainland.

However, Sidwell firmly insisted that he required Marco on Spoon Island to help with their project.

When Marco suggested that perhaps he should motivate Lucas to find his own place, Sidwell inquired if Lucas had been expressing dissatisfaction about living at Wyndemere.

Marco responded that Lucas had no complaints and added that he didn’t wish to exploit his father’s generosity.

Jack Admitted His Mistake To Jason, With A Warning

At the WSB office, Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) told Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) he thought Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was in danger.

WSB Director Cullum was checking her work at the Five Poppies, and Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) linked the resort to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) breakdown.

Jack told Jason to keep details about the Five Poppies from Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and not mention Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). Jason, angry, asked if Joss was in danger.

Jack admitted he regretted recruiting Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) daughter and had hidden her record to protect her, wanting Josslyn off Cullum’s radar.

Cullum Walked In On Jack And Jason’s Meeting

Their talk ended when Cullum arrived and scolded Jack for starting the meeting without him; Jack left Jason alone with Cullum, who Jason told he wouldn’t talk.

Cullum tried to calm Jason, saying he was just a witness to the security breach at the Five Poppies. Jason explained he found Britt there after seeing her in Paris last summer because they had a past.

Cullum pressed for details about what Jason saw at the resort or if Britt had said anything, but Jason insisted he only cared about Britt’s safety.

Using their agreed-upon ruse, Jason told Cullum he had brought Britt back to Port Charles and found her a place to live, but she didn’t need him once she returned to the hospital.

Cullum Confronted Britt In Her Office At The Hospital

Later, in Britt’s office, Cullum complimented her on her progress and said she could move forward with the device once Jenz got the parts.

When she hesitated, saying the research was just theory and might not work, Cullum threatened to find someone else to make a working prototype and left.

Then, Britt remembered Jason’s promise to help her when Lucas came and revealed he knew Sidwell and Marco were extorting her.

She tried to deny it, but Lucas said he confirmed what he heard from Marco-Britt called Marco an idiot for involving Lucas, given the danger of her associates.

Britt revealed that Marco and Sidwell were giving her an experimental drug in return for her compliance; Lucas offered to look for the medication at Wyndemere.
