Also, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) brought Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) up to speed, and Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) was skeptical.

Felicia Delivered Anna’s Message To Jason

At the Quartermaine house, Felicia told Jason how distressing it was to see Anna fall apart. She conveyed Anna’s message, stating that Anna believed her suspicion about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) being alive was true, and that he had been keeping her captive all along. Initially, Jason found it hard to accept this, as he had shot Faison in the chest himself. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

However, when Felicia mentioned that Anna said he needed to stop Faison, Jason began to question if Anna was being honest.

Recalling his Halloween conversation with Anna (the day she was allegedly kidnapped), he informed Felicia that he thought he had made her realize that someone was likely using Faison to divert her attention.

Felicia Wanted Him To Share His Theory With Brennan, But Jason Refused

His doubts increased as Felicia continued, saying that Anna had claimed Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and Peter August (Wes Ramsey) had come to see her.

She also said that Faison had spoken to her through an intercom in her room, although she had only caught a glimpse of him.

Felicia requested Jason to update Jack Brennan about his discussion with Anna regarding Faison, but Jason felt they should keep the WSB out of it.

He insisted that the agency had created the problem by exploiting Anna’s vulnerability concerning Cesar, and he stated that she was fortunate the French authorities rescued her before the WSB could erase their involvement. Felicia agreed to rely on Jason’s judgment because Anna trusted him to make the right decisions.

Mac And Laura Brought Dante Up To Speed

Mac and Laura summoned Dante to the mayor’s office. There, they informed him that Anna would not be returning as police commissioner, and they were uncertain about what had happened to her since she was too confused to hold a conversation.

Dante wanted to understand how the WSB assignment went wrong, so Mac explained that Anna insisted there had never been a mission and that she had been held captive by Faison for months.

While Anna was recovering at the French facility and her legal matters were being resolved, the PCPD needed to permanently appoint someone to the police commissioner role.

Since Mac spent a lot of time in Boston with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), he and Laura wanted Dante to continue leading the department.

Dante Needed Some Time To Think About The Offer, While Laura And Mac Kept Talking

However, Dante was reluctant, as he had other obligations; he agreed to take a few days to consider his decision. After Dante departed, Laura inquired how Mac was managing the situation.

He admitted that between Maxie and Anna, he was trying to be strong for Felicia and Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner), but seeing Anna in that condition had been difficult and made him realize how much she had been carrying alone for all these years.

He owed Anna a great deal, especially for bringing Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough) into his life,  and he hoped she understood how much she had changed his life. Laura was confident that Anna would return to them, but Mac was uncertain if or when that would occur.

Brennan Was Skeptical

At the WSB office, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) informed Jack that Anna had been found in a mental hospital in France after experiencing a breakdown in the field.

This was due to going rogue and starting an unauthorized operation. Jack doubted the director’s information, thinking it didn’t sound like Anna; she was the best agent he knew and wouldn’t break under pressure.

Cullum insisted his source was reliable, stating that Devane was no longer the WSB’s concern and urged Jack to concentrate on locating Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart); with that, he left.

Later, when Dante arrived at Jack’s office, demanding information about Anna, Jack complained that he had tried to get answers. He then shared he was being blocked because the information was classified.

Jack And Dante Decided To Work Together

When Dante shocked him by saying that Anna claimed there was no WSB assignment, Jack shut his office door and admitted that he had a feeling something was wrong.

Dante agreed that he felt the same way. They decided to keep the discussion private, and Jack revealed that the photos Emma received from Anna at Christmas were fake.

The WSB’s official narrative was that she had altered them herself and then went rogue to find Faison. But after hearing what Dante just said, Jack frowned, realizing Anna must be in serious trouble.

Carly And Valentin Talked, And Were Interrupted

While having coffee, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin discussed how fortunate they were not to have been caught when Jack unexpectedly appeared during the blizzard.

However, when Val announced he was returning to Wyndemere, Carly panicked, fearing he might get caught again since she couldn’t execute their plan to take down Jack by herself.

Using the daughter card-claiming she didn’t want to be the one to inform Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) of his death-Carly persuaded Valentin to reconsider. Later, Carly answered the door to an unfamiliar man.

He introduced himself as Cullum and suggested that her relationship with Jack was distracting her boyfriend from focusing on finding Valentin Cassadine, which should be Jack’s main concern.

Cullum then revealed that Jack had received troubling news about his colleague, Anna Devane, who had experienced a mental breakdown during a WSB assignment.

Carly Told Valentin About Cullum’s Visit And Anna’s Crisis

Carly found it hard to believe Anna would act that way, and Cullum made a subtle threat, implying that anyone could break under pressure.

After Cullum departed, Carly called Valentin back downstairs to inform him about Anna’s alleged mental breakdown-knowing who Cullum was, Valentin quickly asserted that he was lying. Acting as Anna’s family, he contacted the French facility using a burner phone (which he subsequently destroyed to prevent tracing).

He said Anna had a psychotic episode and was claiming Cesar Faison was alive and had held her captive-Carly speculated whether this was a WSB cover story.

Valentin doubted the WSB orchestrated it but felt they were accountable for Anna’s ordeal and pledged to hold the agency responsible.

Lucy Was Shocked To See Ava With Jenz

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) surprised Jenz at Wyndemere with a picnic brunch, only to find him cozy with Ava Jerome (Maura West) on the couch during an online art auction.

Since she didn’t have enough food for all three, Jenz went to ask the chef for more, leaving the two women to trade insults about art, real estate, and more.

They continued arguing about Ava’s relationship with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), Lucy’s husbands, Ava’s criminal past, and how Ava got closer to Jenz in months while Lucy had been waiting for a year.

When Jenz returned, he sensed the tension between them. Lucy sat on the couch smirking as Ava made an excuse to leave and focus on the auction.

Jenz Shut Lucy Down About His Consorting With The “Lunatic”

Alone with Lucy, Jenz asked what happened while he was gone, and Lucy complained that she couldn’t “bite her tongue” anymore and wanted to share the “sordid” story about “that lunatic” he was with.

Jenz cut her off, saying he knew about the skeletons in both Ava’s and Lucy’s closets, and believed if Lucy got a second chance, so should Ava. L

ucy, refusing to be around Ava, demanded Jenz choose between them. When he said he didn’t take ultimatums from anyone, even someone he cared about, Lucy decided to leave.

As she put on her coat, Jenz asked if she wanted to take her picnic basket, and Lucy snapped that he might get hungry because Ava always left people wanting.

Emma Tearfully Updated Gio, As Josslyn Dropped In

Back from France, Emma updated Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) on what happened and feared the doctor couldn’t help her grandmother with her PTSD. E

mma always thought her grandmother was strong, but now she cried that Anna was frantic and paranoid, thinking Faison was after her too. Nothing worked when she tried to calm Anna, leaving her feeling hopeless.

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) arrived unexpectedly and asked why Emma was upset. Emma explained the situation with her grandmother’s WSB mission and Anna’s claim of being kidnapped by Cesar Faison, which caught Josslyn’s attention.

Josslyn Asked If Britt And Nathan’s Returns Triggered Anna

Josslyn asked if Emma thought Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Nathan West’s (Ryan Paevey) returns triggered Anna, and Emma said it was a possibility.

Josslyn then asked if Anna had seen Faison, but Gio stopped the questions since Emma was emotional after just getting home.

Understanding the cue, Josslyn said goodbye, and once in the hallway, she took out PK Sinclair’s novel The Crystalline Conspiracy from her purse. Emma then told Gio she had talked to her grandfather, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), while in France.

Emma Explained She Had To Go To California To Tell Her Mother In Person, Then To France

Emma explained she was set to go to California to tell her mom about Anna, then fly back to France with Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough).

Gio, her supportive boyfriend, promised to wait for her return. After Emma repacked her suitcase and got ready for the airport, Gio offered to accompany her to repay the kindness she and Anna had shown him after his life fell apart at the Nurses’ Ball.

Emma wanted to be strong and insisted she could handle it alone, like her mom and grandma would. But during their hug, she whispered her fear, and Gio promised they would face whatever came together.
