‘General Hospital’ Recap For Friday, April 4: Ric Wakes Up And Remembers Clue, Ava Learns The Truth, Carly & Jason Tears

General Hospital recap for Friday, April 4 reveals a lot happened in Port Charles today! If you missed today’s show – no worries, CTS has a full overview of everything that went down.

Trina Robinson & Kai Taylor Talk Surgery

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) are talking about the possibility of him going through a surgery that would allow him to play football again.

Trina takes a hard line against anything suggested by Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and states the obvious; Drew barely knows Kai so why is he offering help?

Trina warns him to be careful, and Kai admits that she makes him see possibilities in random places. Trina tells Kai that he helps her to see the color in her life.

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) called a meeting with Drew because he believes that he is making Kai promises about a recovery that he can’t keep.

Drew says that he is going to work just as hard for Kai as he did for Curtis, so that he can also see a dream come true.

Curtis acknowledged that he was given the dream position of CEO, but he doesn’t want Kai to become collateral damage. He is afraid that Drew will pick Kai up and use him until he is done with him, and then drop him.

Josslyn Jacks Is Tested

Over at the WSB training center, General Hospital recaps for the April 4 episode note that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) tells Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), right in front of Vaughn (Bryce Durfee), that she saw him receive a drop off that she at first believed was sanctioned by the WSB, now she’s not so sure.

Jack tells her that these are serious charges that could end either Vaughn’s career or hers. He denies meeting with a woman and accuses Joss of following him to the coffee shop.

Jack asks Joss to walk him through what happened at the coffee shop with Vaughn, who denies everything. Jack says that he finds Vaughn’s explanation credible and wants to know if Joss stands by the events that she is describing.

She does, and tells Jack which pocket Vaughn put the package and as he empties his pockets, there is the package in question. 

Jack tells Joss that she has passed this phase of training. She handled the situation with Vaughn properly and was more loyal to the WSB than to a colleague.

Now he has her first assignment for her. After she leaves, Brennan tells Vaughn that he will be going on the assignment with Joss as backup.

Carly Spencer & Jason Morgan Have An Emotional Talk

Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) arrives at Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) to bring her tax documents that are connected to the Metro Court. They both hate the position that they are in, but Carly isn’t budging.

She won’t give Jack up because she’s not willing to give anyone in her life up just because someone tells her to.

Jason tells Carly that he can’t anticipate how to keep her safe in the WSB’s world, and he can’t risk losing her. Carly says that she hasn’t felt this alive in a long time and she again asks Jason to trust her.

He agrees that it’s not worth losing their friendship over and if he is right about Jack then they will deal with it together when the time comes.

Carly tells Jason that he is the most important person in her life and that deep down, she knows that if she gives in to him, it would destroy them.

She can never lose him, and Jason reassures her that she never will. As they hug Joss walks into the kitchen announcing her return.

Liz Baldwin Has Surgery & Ric Lansing Wakes Up

General Hospital recaps for Friday’s episode states that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) is recovering from surgery on her leg, which now has three new pins in it.

She is really worried about Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst), who was driving the car that she was in that crashed, because he hasn’t woken up yet.

Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) arrives with some things for Liz, and she tells him that she is realizing that this is going to be a long recovery.

He promises to help her and insists that she start asking for help. As they talk, a nurse comes in and tells her that Ric has woken up.

Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) is in the chapel apologizing for doing bad things and praying for Ric when Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahan) arrive.

Molly thanks Kristina for being so supportive through this ordeal, and Alexis tells her that Ric is out of surgery and will have no permanent damage.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) is also floating around and finally sees Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson). She stops him and asks about Ric’s condition.

He lets her sneak into Ric’s room for a few minutes, where she pleads with him to wake up. She tells Ric that she needs him and that everyone is worried about him, especially his daughter, Molly.

As Ava starts to leave, Ric wakes up and remembers everything. He tells Ava that he had no brakes. Ava  goes to tell Isaiah that Ric is awake just as Molly, Kristina, and Alexis arrive.

Molly runs to see Ric, and Ava tells Alexis that it’s a public place, so she will not be staying away from Ric. Molly is at Ric’s bedside when he starts to have a flashback from the accident and sees Kristina staring at him in the car, injured.

Meanwhile, Lucky steps out of Liz’s room and gets a text from Kristina wanting to see him. When they meet, he wants to know exactly what happened on the night when she almost killed Liz and Ric. 

Ava visits the lot where Ric’s car is impounded. She pretends that it’s her car, and the man on duty says the car is totaled. She then asks him to take a look to see if there is something from the manufacturer that could be faulty, and the man agrees.

When he returns, he tells her that the brake lines on the car have been cut.
