General Hospital' Recap Friday, December 5: Jason Saves Britt, Josslyn Summoned, Cyrus & Esme Appear

General Hospital recaps for Friday, December 5, reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) helped an extremely inebriated Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud)!

Plus, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was summoned to the WSB office, and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) was haunted by nightmares!

Jason Morgan Saves Britt Westbourne

Although he didn’t comply with her request for a kiss, Jason escorted a tipsy Britt back to her room. Hurt by the rejection, Britt lashed out at him for spoiling her night out, but Jason wouldn’t abandon her.

When Britt’s alarm rang for the third time, she told Jason to step into the hallway for some privacy, sarcastically remarking that bodyguards usually stood there since they weren’t friends.

Jason stepped outside but kept the door ajar, prompting Britt to close it herself as her alarm sounded again, reminding her to take her nighttime injection. After retrieving her medication box from the nightstand, Britt collapsed.

Jason Rushed Back Into The Room

Jason rushed back into the room, helped her up, and guided her to the bed as she sobbed about needing to give herself an injection.

He picked up a vial and needle from the floor, prepared the medicine, and gently administered the shot when Britt’s hand trembled too much for her to do it herself. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

As Jason tucked Britt into bed, she lamented that she must be more intoxicated than she realized to let him see her stomach. Once Britt fell asleep, Jason settled into the armchair in her room, keeping his promise to stay by her side.

Carly Spencer Keeps Up Appearances

General Hospital recaps for Friday show note that Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) was curious if Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) smaller-than-normal Thanksgiving dinner (which only included them and Josslyn) was due to him.

She claimed her other family members had other plans. She expressed disappointment that Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) didn’t come, attributing it to the fight they had.

Jack believed Carly had reconciled with Lucas, so she clarified that she chose to wait for a better moment to apologize instead of confronting him at work.

Confident that she and her brother would eventually resolve their issues, Jack kissed Carly goodbye before leaving for work.

Carly kept up the act until he was gone, but once she was alone, she shook off the ick, recalling her discussion with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) about taking Brennan down.

Trina Robinson & Josslyn Jacks Catch Up

Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) caught Josslyn sneaking around their apartment in the dark, packing an overnight bag. She noticed Kai Taylor’s (Jens Austin Astrup) car outside and decided to find another place to spend the night, not wanting to return to her mom’s.

When Trina encouraged her friend to talk about what was bothering her, Joss revealed that she had a strange Thanksgiving dinner with her mom and Brennan.

She also revealed she’d slept with Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) a few nights before. He had ghosted her since then, and Joss was frustrated with herself for getting her hopes up and going back to him.

Trina Reassured Joss

Trina reassured her that it was normal to feel upset since Vaughn had broken her trust, but Joss countered that Vaughn was just doing his job.

Then, Josslyn received a text from Brennan, calling her to the WSB office, and she lied, saying she was going back to her mom’s house since Jack wasn’t staying there after all.

After Josslyn left, Kai woke up and came into the living room to check on Trina’s roommate. She said Josslyn was struggling, so they talked-seeing that Trina was also going through a lot, Kai sat next to her, and she thanked him for his help with her parents’ problems.

He promised they would work together to clear her parents’ names-Trina smiled, saying she was happy to have him despite everything, and Kai replied he wouldn’t waste the second chance she gave him.

Felicia Jones Caught Up With Lucas  Jones At The Hospital

After visiting her daughter in Boston, Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) found Lucas at the hospital to thank him for helping his cousin. Lucas told Felicia he was in touch with Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) care team, and no change in her condition was good news, meaning she was fighting.

Carly arrived shortly after, and when she asked about Maxie, Felicia shared about the family time in Boston. Carly said that made her heart happy, and Lucas gave her a strange look.

Carly Tried To Make Amends With Lucas

Noticing the sibling tension, Felicia left to handle some paperwork-Carly then offered Lucas a piece of pecan pie as a peace gesture, but he turned it down.

Carly apologized for not inviting him to Thanksgiving, and Lucas questioned whether Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) would have been included. When Carly hesitated, Lucas, feeling insulted, said that was why he wouldn’t have gone anyway.

Carly regretted her words during their fight and wished to take them back. But Lucas said he was glad to know how she really felt about Marco.

Carly insisted she was only trying to protect him. But Lucas responded that it still hurt to think his sister saw him as a fool for moving in with a boyfriend who was merely using him.

Lucas was surprised when Carly admitted she didn’t think he was foolish and that anyone could be deceived. However, instead of clarifying her statement, Carly told her brother she was just trying to shield him from being hurt by the person he loved.

Lucas accused his sister of projecting her own problems with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) onto him.

Lucas Admitted His Marriage To Brad Cooper Ended Badly

General Hospital recaps for December 5 state that recognizing that his relationship with Brad Cooper (Parry Shen) had ended badly, Lucas snapped that it didn’t mean Marco would lie to him.

Ultimately, Lucas told his sister he didn’t want to argue anymore, realizing he could never make her trust Marco. He added that until she accepted Marco’s presence in his life, he needed some distance.

Though disappointed, Carly agreed and tearfully told her brother he could reach out if he needed anything. Then, she gave him the plate of pie and wished him a Happy Thanksgiving before she left.

Felicia Gave Lucas Some Family Advice

Later on, Felicia took a moment to pause at the hub to bid farewell to Lucas as she made her way out. As they chatted, she brought up his mother and reminisced about her own dear friend who had passed away.

Felicia remarked on Bobbie Spencer’s (Jacklyn Zeman) remarkable ability to forgive and observed that both Lucas and Carly shared that admirable trait.

She pointed out that Bobbie would never have wished for any rift to exist between him and Carly. With that in mind, Felicia encouraged Lucas not to lose hope when it came to reconnecting with his sister.

Brennan Barked At Josslyn

When Josslyn arrived at the WSB office, Brennan accused her of giving Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza)  the address of Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) second lab from a classified file.

Josslyn didn’t deny it, arguing that if the WSB found no link between Dalton and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)  or Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove)  project, her friends should be able to save the animals.

Jack yelled that she broke protocol and threatened to transfer her. Josslyn thought that was too harsh for just slipping an address under a door, but Brennan said it was for continuing her relationship with Vaughn after being warned to stay away.

Realizing something was off, Josslyn asked what Brennan did to Vaughn, and her boss said he was far away with orders not to contact her.

Brennan Continued The Threats

Jack ordered Josslyn to follow the same orders, warning her she could end up in a basement station in Finland if she didn’t. “The only reason that hasn’t happened yet — ” Jack shouted, but Josslyn cut him off.

“Because you’re sleeping with my mom?” she asked sarcastically. Jack then warned her that she was close to crossing a line, which only frustrated Josslyn more.

“Oh, I’m crossing a line-meanwhile, you’re just using me to get info from my uncle while making me lie to my mom,” she said.

Brennan’s Urgent Call

General Hospital recaps reveal that when Brennan said he was clear about her expectations at the WSB, Joss shot back that she got how that applied to his dating, but not to national security.

Brennan told Josslyn she could ruin his relationship with Carly after the job, but they needed to stop Sidwell first. Josslyn was shocked when Brennan said the WSB wanted to take Sidwell’s technology instead of destroying it.

He wouldn’t give her more details since the case was classified, claiming he had already made enough concessions for her and was trying to keep her safe because of her mother.

Then, Brennan’s phone rang. “Oh my God,” Jack said, panic in his eyes after hearing the caller.

Valentin Cassadine On The Loose

After her heated exchange with Lucas at the hospital, Carly made her way back home. As she ascended the staircase, she came to a halt.

Something outside caught her attention, prompting her to grab the poker tool from the fireplace. She cautiously moved towards the window to take a closer look.

Out of nowhere, a figure emerged from behind her, and Carly quickly turned around, ready to defend herself, only to find it was Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), his face bruised and smeared with blood. “I told you I’d be in touch,” he declared.

Laura Collins Haunted By A Nightmare

A knock on the door woke Laura from her nap-she was shocked to see her dead brother, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), at the door. It was just a nightmare where Cyrus’s ghost said he sensed she needed him and gave her an early Christmas gift.

When Laura wouldn’t open the box, Cyrus opened it himself, showing the gun that killed Professor Dalton. Laura cried that she didn’t shoot Dalton and had no explanation for why he was in her trunk. Cyrus insisted she must take responsibility.

Esme Prince Makes An Appearance

Next, the furious spirit of Esme Prince (played by Avery Kristen Pohl) made her way down the staircase, unleashing her wrath upon Laura for taking her son from her grasp.

She then revealed to Laura that she had been concealing Ace Cassadine ( Kieran and Karis Barry) all this time, accusing Laura of being a liar and unworthy of raising a child.

Cyrus interjected, asserting that he and Laura shared more similarities than she was willing to acknowledge. “Deep down, you were aware that I was correct. Can’t you see it?” Cyrus remarked to his sister.

She unexpectedly found herself gripping the gun in her hand. At that point, Laura woke up from her nightmare.

Kevin Collins Comes Home To See His Wife Is A Mess

Laura woke up startled from her nightmare just before Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) got home from seeing his patient. She hugged him and told him that Jenz Sidwell had put Dalton’s body in her trunk and had blackmailed her earlier.

Anxiously, Laura shared her terrible nightmare about Cyrus and Esme. Kevin pointed out that her subconscious was showing her what she wanted to do, not what she should do.

As they discussed her options, Kevin reminded Laura to think about Ace in her decisions, and she worried about her grandson’s future.

Kevin Reasons With His Wife

He also mentioned that it could help Laura if Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and the PCPD knew Sidwell’s capabilities, but Laura lamented that Anna was away on a WSB assignment.

Holding back tears, Laura said she couldn’t turn herself in without involving Sonny since Detective Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) had seen them together at the scene.

Laura thought about going to the police but doubted a jury would believe Sonny was innocent in Dalton’s death. Kevin looked shocked.

Kevin told her that if she stayed silent, she would have to face the consequences of giving in to Sidwell’s demands.

Laura believed she could lessen the damage Sidwell caused in the city by staying ahead of the criminal, but Kevin felt that was too much for her to handle.

Jenz Sidwell Shows Up At Sonny Corinthos’s Home

General Hospital recaps for Friday, December 5 imply that Sidwell visited Sonny to clarify things before the mobster could kill him; when Sonny asked why, Sidwell said that not having a motive was the best chance for Sonny to eliminate him.

Sonny agreed it was a valid point, and then, Sidwell revealed a photo of Sonny and Laura with Dalton’s corpse. Sidwell laughed when Sonny claimed he was just helping a friend with car issues, saying the photo looked more like a murder conspiracy than car trouble.

Sonny smiled and challenged Sidwell to show a body since there was no proof of death. Sidwell replied he had enough evidence to imprison both Corinthos and Mayor Collins. Finally, Sidwell stated he wanted Sonny’s full cooperation and support.

Sonny & Sidwell Continue

When Sonny said it would look odd if he sold the piers after their fight over Measure C, Sidwell replied that he had raised his offer significantly after losing the vote.

That would make it seem like a business deal where Sonny gained a lot. Sonny was skeptical that people would believe that story, but Sidwell laughed, saying everyone has a price and no one would know the truth.

Then, Sonny asked what else Sidwell wanted besides the piers, and Sidwell said that was all for now. However, he added that if anything happened to him or Marco, the photos and the gun with Laura’s DNA  used to kill Dalton would go to the police.

Sonny In Shock

Shocked, Sonny insisted Laura didn’t deserve Sidwell’s manipulation for leverage; Sidwell smugly claimed it was a lucky break, now having the mayor and the local crime lord under his control.

Sonny declared he could leave the country since Laura could manage the police alone. Sidwell, knowing Sonny would protect the mayor, warned him he also had to safeguard himself and Marco: if either got hurt, Sonny and Laura would be accountable for Dalton’s murder.

After Sidwell departed, Sonny picked up the photo as Laura called to inform him about her encounter with Sidwell. Telling her that Sidwell had visited him, too, Sonny promised Laura they would find a way to deal with their situation.
