‘General Hospital’ Recap Friday, May 22: Nina Betrays Nina, Rocco Flees With Britt & Dante Spirals

General Hospital recaps for Friday, May 22 reveal Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) warned Nina Reeves, (Cynthia Watros) while Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) made escape plans.

Plus, in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office at Pozzulo’s, he and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) discussed Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota).

Willow Warned Nina, Then Tracked Down Felicia

At the hospital, Willow cautioned Nina against drawing unwanted attention by continuing her visits to Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna), warning that they could both face consequences for their actions.

Willow wanted to give Jack his next dose instead of her mother, but Nina insisted she would take care of it.

After parting ways with her mom, Willow found Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) to inform her that at Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) request, she had used her influence.

She was able to have Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) moved back to a private clinic instead of a government facility.

Felicia was delighted by this news, especially since the French police would drop all charges if Anna was deemed medically fit.

Cullum Visited Jack, Jack Revealed To Nina He Could Talk

Meanwhile, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) came to see Jack, who was awake but silent. He mocked that being confined was preferable to a sentence at Steinmauer for obstruction of justice, but he would soon be moved to Turning Woods for long-term care.

When Nina walked into Jack’s room, she was taken aback to find Cullum there and stated that her visit to Brennan was merely out of common decency, as he had collapsed in front of her-after Cullum departed, Brennan started talking to Nina.

Overjoyed that he was awake and speaking, Nina found it hard to inject him again. Instead, she threw away the needle rather than give him his next dose-meanwhile, Cullum introduced himself to Willow and Felicia, inquiring about Rocco Falconeri’s (Finn Carr) whereabouts.

Lulu Met With Ethan In The Park, Then She Got A Call From Laura

With the constant threat of 24/7 surveillance from Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) hanging over her, Lulu informed Ethan Lovett that she needed to leave town with Rocco-today.

However, before they could put their plan into action, Lulu got an urgent call from her mother.

Laura then met them at the park and revealed that she had heard from Dante about Lulu’s plan to take Rocco out of town.

To Lulu’s surprise, Laura expressed her full support for the decision, mentioning that she had done something similar in the past to protect her family.

Laura promised to look after Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) while Lulu was away and asked Ethan to take care of his sister.

Ethan And Lulu Found Rocco And His Fake Passport Gone, He Went To Look For Britt

But when Ethan and Lulu got back home, they found that Rocco was missing, and his fake passport was gone. At G.H., Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) saw Rocco running through the hall as he headed to meet Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

In her office, Britt told Rocco that she needed to leave town immediately, and he insisted on going with her. As Britt explained why it was a bad idea, Rocco showed her the fake passport his mom had gotten for him.

He  argued that the only way to resolve the chaos he was causing for his loved ones was to leave them behind.

Rocco Convinced Britt To Take Him With Her

Britt refused to let him come along, stating that she could only survive a few months without her medication and wouldn’t be able to protect Rocco if Cullum found them.

Despite the risks, Rocco told Britt he wanted to spend whatever time she had left with her, saying that she brought him into the world, so he wanted to be with her when she left it.

In the end, Rocco’s request to protect his family from Cullum persuaded Britt to allow him to join her- but only if he promised to contact his parents after she passed away.

Liz knocked on Britt’s office door, searching for Rocco-before Liz entered, Britt gave Rocco her car keys and instructed him to wait in the car.

Liz was curious about why Rocco was still at G.H., since his community shift had finished hours earlier, and their cover story only made her more suspicious.

As Liz Confronted Britt, Elsewhere At GH Kristina Came With Molly For Her Checkup

After Rocco left, Liz questioned Britt about the situation, and when she noticed Rocco’s fake passport on the desk, she demanded to know what was happening.

Britt quickly grabbed it from Liz’s hands. In the meantime, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) went with Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) to G.H. for her last check-up after surgery.

The sisters were impressed by how supportive Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) had been during her recovery. And Molly expressed her gratitude to Kristina for encouraging her to explore a relationship with him and for secretly sending the manuscript to her agent.

Sonny And Ric Discussed Sidwell

At Pozzulo’s, Sonny and Ric figured out that Sidwell was using Deception’s shipments to disguise whatever he was truly bringing onto Spoon Island.

They came to the conclusion that his ultimate goal must be nearing, given the man’s increasing activity.

When Ric proposed that Sonny and Laura stop waiting for Sidwell to slip up and take him out, Sonny asserted it was time to exploit Sidwell’s fury over Marco Rios’s (Adrian Anchondo) death.

That way they could  provoke him into making a mistake, and it would be easier to take him out.

Laura Dropped By To Tell Sonny About Lulu’s Escape Plans With Rocco

Laura dropped by to inform Sonny that Lulu was leaving town with Rocco. Assuming they were fleeing due to what happened to Rocco with Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and Sidwell, Laura suggested they owed it to their grandson to finally take down Sidwell.

Shortly after, Sonny received a call from Britt, who told him she was leaving town. As Rocco waited in the car, she  wanted to inform him that Sidwell had murdered Henry Dalton and that his butler, Pascal (Marc Forget), had helped cover it up.

“Nathan” Made A Plea

“Nathan West,” also known as Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), urged Dante to think twice about allowing Lulu to leave town with Rocco.

He highlighted that Cullum would likely want to eliminate any witness to what Rocco observed on the pier that night.

“The best course of action is to assist Lulu, not hinder her,” Nathan insisted, suggesting that Sonny could easily ensure Lulu and Rocco’s safety.

When Dante complained that helping Lulu escape contradicted his principles as the police commissioner, Nathan reminded him that he had already crossed a moral boundary by destroying evidence.

Would losing his job or grieving for his son be more difficult to bear?

Dante Reflected On “Nathan’s” Advice When He Got A Call From Lulu

In solitude, Dante reflected on Nathan’s words when Lulu called him with alarming news: Rocco was missing, along with the fake passport she had secured for him.

Knowing that Rocco’s last known location before his phone was turned off was G.H., Dante hurried to the hospital. Inside Britt’s office, he discovered Liz trapped in a closet.

Elizabeth revealed that Britt had locked her in after discovering the fake passport and suspected that Rocco and Britt were planning to leave town together.

Meanwhile, in the hospital parking lot, Britt smashed her phone and Rocco’s to prevent anyone from tracking them and ran over them with her car as she sped away from the lot.
