‘General Hospital’ Recap Friday, May 29: Ethan’s Secret Exposed, Michael Schemes & Brook Lynn Explodes At Willow

General Hospital recaps for Friday, May 29 reveal Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) warned Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) while Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) made admissions to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

In the meantime, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) fought and made up.

Michael Warned Brook Lynn

When Michael discovered Brook Lynn preparing a thank-you gift for Willow, he cautioned his cousin that Willow’s assistance with Phoebe Wilson’s (Luna and Lucia Creighton) adoption was intended for Chase’s advantage, not her own.

Michael offered his car for her to use to deliver the gift, as Brook Lynn’s SUV had a door that rattled. But she nervously dismissed it as a trivial issue.

Her unease intensified when Michael expressed surprise that she had the time to organize a musical showcase for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) while also caring for Phoebe.

Particularly since she had missed Gio and Trina’s performance at Charlie’s in the first place; successfully deflecting Michael’s inquiries, Brook Lynn made her way to Willow’s.

Michael Called Jacinda

Michael summoned Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) and confided his suspicion that Brook Lynn was the other driver involved in Curtis and Jordan Ashford’s (Donnell Turner, Tanisha Harper) car accident.

He speculated that if Chase learned of Brook Lynn’s involvement, he would turn against his wife and rush to Willow.

And not only would an affair between Chase and Willow liberate Brook Lynn from a critical husband who couldn’t move past his ex, but the ensuing scandal would jeopardize Willow’s Congressional position.

Then, Michael pondered, he would be the one wielding all the influence over Willow.

Willow Made Admissions To Chase

At the Cain residence, Willow confided in Chase that she no longer loved Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), regretted their marriage, and wished to end it. She also shared her shame over having cheated on Chase with Michael.

But a forgiving Chase reassured her that it all turned out for the best since her betrayal led him to Brook Lynn and Phoebe.

Chase urged Willow to have faith in herself to handle the situation until Drew recovered, at which point she could leave him.

As Chase and Willow embraced, Brook Lynn arrived and caught sight of their intimate moment through the window.

Brook Lynn Gave Willow A Gift, And Then A Warning

Despite the pain she was feeling, Brook Lynn mustered the strength to ring the doorbell, eager to present Willow with the thoughtful gift she had brought along.

As the three of them-Willow, Brook Lynn, and Chase-engaged in light conversation, Brook Lynn took an opportunity.

She wanted to express just how fortunate she felt to have such a caring and supportive partner like Chase by her side.

However, once Chase departed for the station, Brook Lynn felt compelled to issue a stern warning to Willow,

She made it clear that if she ever attempted to make a move on Chase, Brook Lynn would not hesitate to take drastic measures against her.

Portia And Curtis Argued

Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Curtis argued about his attack on Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson); Curtis defended himself, saying he didn’t want Isaiah in the baby’s life.

Portia pointed out the double standard, saying if he excluded Isaiah, she wouldn’t let Jordan near the baby.

However, Portia stood by Isaiah, who had supported her when Curtis and Trina turned against her after she revealed the affair during Willow’s trial.

Curtis accused Portia of ignoring that Isaiah was hiding a crime, but she replied that the only crime was Curtis hitting Isaiah. She warned Curtis that if she had to testify, she would tell the truth about what she saw.

Valentin And Carly Fought, Then Charlotte Dropped In

Valentin confronted Carly about her avoidance, and she lashed out at him for being quick to abandon everything to rush to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) aid while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) remained missing and in peril.

As she expressed her frustration about not being able to rely on him, Valentin declared he would terminate the project at Wyndemere and vacate Carly’s attic.

Later, a distressed Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) visited Carly, expressing her feelings that she had inadvertently pushed Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) towards Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

She blamed her distraction with helping Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) in his efforts to save his father.

Offering her support, Carly reassured Charlotte that she wasn’t to blame for Rocco’s decisions and urged her to avoid putting herself in further danger, especially since Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) was already quite concerned.

Valentin And Carly Made Up

Having overheard their discussion, Valentin came out from the attic and advised his daughter to heed Carly’s words and prioritize her safety so he could finish his work at Wyndemere.

Once Charlotte departed, Carly and Valentin exchanged apologies for their earlier confrontation.

Then  Carly admitted that she shouldn’t have placed expectations on Valentin regarding their complicated relationship, knowing he would always have feelings for Anna.

As she turned to leave, Valentin took her hand and confessed that he had developed real feelings for her.

He shared that he was uncertain about what the future might bring but expressed his desire for Carly to be with him, to which she responded with a kiss.

Alexis And Ava Talked To Apollo

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) visited the Hammet Gallery in Manhattan to ask owner Apollo (Maxwell Caulfield) about his past employee, Delilah Wilson (Lily Cardone).

Apollo reiterated to the police that he didn’t know much about Delilah, since she was private, and he hadn’t even known she was pregnant.

He then went to call Ethan, informing him that Ava and Alexis were there asking about Delilah, assuring him he hadn’t given any useful info.

Alexis sighed to Ava that the talk went nowhere, but when Apollo returned, Ava convinced him to share details by offering a financial reward from the wealthy Quartermaine family.

Turning against his partnership with Ethan, Apollo showed Ava and Alexis a photo from last summer of Delilah and Ethan, where Ethan had his arm around Delilah’s shoulder.

Tracy And Ethan Made A Deal

During a meeting at the boathouse with Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) expressed his guilt over Rocco’s departure with Britt.

He admitted he was responsible for obtaining the fake passport that facilitated it. Their discussion shifted back to the business idea he had for Tracy, where Ethan suggested she hire him to aid in her “nuanced dealings.”

Recognizing the value of his distinct abilities, Tracy agreed to bring him on board to ensure that nothing interfered with Chase and Brook Lynn’s plans to adopt Phoebe.  

Ethan assured her that he would do everything possible to support the couple.
