On The Next General Hospital – Sonny Talked To Justine

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) told Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) that she might be biased in prosecuting his son since she was at his house when Drew tried to extort him by threatening Michael. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Justine agreed and said she would be happy to step down if the Michael was charged because she believed Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) was guilty.

Sonny then questioned why anyone needed to be charged, as Drew had many enemies-she noted that Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn)  had given defense attorneys a guide to get their clients off.

Sonny thought the next person prosecuted would likely be acquitted since no jury would convict someone for shooting a person like Drew.

Justine insisted everyone deserved justice, but Sonny suggested the case should remain unsolved since Drew got what he deserved.

Britt Asked Jason Out

Britt showed Jason her new office at G.H., saying it was the first step to reclaiming her life, and gave him a payment for her Café Cherie bill.

He declined the money, but she wanted them to be equal to move forward. Britt then invited Jason on a fancy date that required him to wear a suit.

Unbeknownst to her, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) was following them, and she was shocked to see him enter her office after Jason left.

Cullum ordered her to start working at the Spoon Island lab that evening and set a three-month deadline for the project to be online.

Britt Was Upset At Cullum’s Orders

When Britt hesitated about the timeline, Cullum threatened to make her disappear, which made Britt even more anxious about leaving the life she had just returned to.

He stated that finishing on time was their main goal, so they would take all risks, and Britt requested one more day.

Cullum told her she had already been given too much time, mentioning he had another scientist ready to replace her, and reminded her that without her medication, her nervous system would start to fail.

Feeling trapped, Britt agreed to go to Wyndemere that night;  Cullum got ready to leave. But not before warning the doctor that Jason had caused issues at the Five Poppies, and if she didn’t remove him from her life, he would do it for her!

Chase And Michael Argued

In the Quartermaine den, Chase and Michael argued fiercely; Chase believed Michael framed Willow to get what he wanted.

Michael yelled that Willow’s breakup and bringing Drew into their lives endangered their kids, which he never wanted.

Chase then accused Michael of causing that danger, saying he sought revenge instead of forgiveness when Drew manipulated Willow.

Chase insisted Michael should be locked up, not Willow. Michael retorted that Chase was so eager to be Willow’s hero that he ruined his career for her act, hinting that Chase wanted to sleep with Willow again.

Chase And Michael Got In A Fight

A fight broke out, with Chase throwing the first punch; when Jason arrived to stop it, Chase vowed Michael would pay for his actions before storming out.

Michael confided in Jason, worried the police would come for him, insisting he didn’t shoot Drew. Jason reminded him he survived severe burns prior to his return to his kids, so he could handle this too.

Michael expressed concern that Willow might gain partial custody now that she was cleared, fearing for the kids at Drew’s house.

Jason promised to keep Drew out of Wiley and Amelia Corinthos’ (Viron Weaver, Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko) lives.

Ava And Nina Caught Up, Curtis Talked To Trina

At Bad Jen Café, Ava Jerome (Maura West) smiled when she saw Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) together.

Their happiness faded when Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) came over to talk to Trina privately. He asked if she had heard from Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

Trina said she told her mom she needed space. Curtis thought Portia could use support since she had a hospital board meeting about her job.

Although Trina was still upset, she didn’t want her mom to lose her career for protecting her-she asked if she could help, but Curtis said he had something to do and left quickly.

Nina And Ava Continued Their Discussion

Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) told Ava that Willow married Drew to avoid murder charges and get her kids back.

Even though Willow didn’t need Drew anymore, Nina knew he wouldn’t let her go. Their talk ended when Nina received a call from Willow, who pretended to be frantic about something happening to Drew.

While at Bad Jen, Ava and Trina discussed how happy Trina was with Kai-then Ava got a text about high shipping fees for Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) latest purchase.

Trina thought Sidwell would be okay with the cost once he realized he’d be the first to collect this artist’s work in the Northern Hemisphere.

Ava Agreed, Trina Warned Her Jenz Was Dangerous

Ava concurred, mentioning that Jenz indeed had international business engagements, and if everything went smoothly, she could become the artist’s main dealer.

Trina then cautioned her boss to exercise caution since she had heard that Sidwell could be a dangerous individual.

But Ava comforted her protégé by saying that she was adept at handling men like Jenz. Furthermore, Ava pointed out that her nephew Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) was currently residing at Sidwell’s house, and he was doing well.

With the art transaction and visiting Lucas, Ava proclaimed her intention to spend more time at Wyndemere.

Portia And Isaiah Were Confronted By Stella

As Portia reached the hospital for a meeting about her suspension, she ran into Stella Henry (Vernée Watson); Stella questioned if risking her career and family was worth it.

Portia retorted that her career was at risk because she chose to protect her daughter, not due to an affair with Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) that led to her pregnancy. After Portia left angrily, Stella encountered Isaiah, who had overheard their exchange.

When he tried to speak to her, she snapped that her issues with Portia were family matters and he wasn’t family. Isaiah disagreed, stating that Portia’s marriage was crumbling long before he came along, and she wasn’t solely at fault.

Tracy And Laura Got Ready To Meet With Portia

Stella was surprised when Isaiah remarked that she was known for her fairness and kindness at the hospital and urged her to show the same compassion to Portia.

In the meantime, in a conference room, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) got ready to meet Portia.

They were on a special committee to recommend to the hospital board whether to reinstate or dismiss the disgraced doctor.

Tracy proposed that the board support Portia since they knew Drew had blackmailed her. However, Laura pointed out that Portia admitting to tampering with a patient’s test results made things complicated; as the meeting started, they allowed Portia to defend herself.

Portia Met With Tracy And Laura

Taking full accountability for her actions, Portia claimed that changing a patient’s test results was an unusual and extreme circumstance where she was attempting to shield her child from a murderer.

Aside from that singular event, her record was impeccable. Laura inquired about what she would tell a potential patient who had reservations about her treatment.

Portia clarified that Drew was evidence of her commitment to the oath she had taken as a physician.

She chose to save the life of her abuser instead of intentionally sabotaging the surgery when given the opportunity. Laura and Tracy seemed satisfied with her answers.

Portia Updated Isaiah And Stella

After the meeting concluded, Portia met up with Isaiah and expressed her belief that she had presented herself admirably.

Isaiah reassured her that he was confident the board would recognize her as an exceptional doctor. Just as Isaiah was preparing to escort Portia out of the hospital, Stella approached them and offered an apology for her previous conduct.

In a heartfelt response, Portia expressed her own regrets for any hurt her actions may have inflicted on Stella and the entire family, tearfully affirming that her love for them remained unwavering.

Laura Found Curtis In Her Office

Upon returning to the mayor’s office, Laura discovered Curtis waiting for her, aware that she had a say in Portia’s potential reinstatement.

He revealed that few were aware Drew’s blackmail extended beyond Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) test results. Drew was attempting to coerce Portia into altering Michael’s blood test results to make it seem as though he was addicted to opioids.

This would lead to Willow gaining custody, but Portia stood her ground. Despite their personal issues, Curtis was determined not to let Portia’s career be jeopardized by Heather Webber and Drew Cain.

Laura Agreed To Consider Curtis’ Insights

Laura agreed to consider his insights when formulating her recommendation to the board. As he was about to leave, Laura observed that, amidst the chaos, he and Portia had united for a shared purpose.

She wished they would remember their ability to collaborate if the baby turned out to be his. Curtis responded that since he had missed the opportunity to raise Trina, this baby felt like a second chance, and he simply wanted to be the best father he could be.

Lucas And Elizabeth Talked About Willow’s Acquittal

In a conversation about Willow’s acquittal with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), Lucas praised his friend for her bravery in standing up for Willow.

Liz shared her hope that they could all finally move forward with their lives. Lucas inquired about Willow’s return to work, and Liz humorously mentioned that she was eager to have the nurse back, provided Drew allowed it.

As they discussed Drew’s controlling nature regarding his wife, a call came through to the nurse’s hub, notifying Liz that a critical patient was on the way. That patient turned out to be Drew.

Willow Spun A Complicated Tale For Liz About Drew Having A Headache And Collapsing

Willow spun a tale for Liz, claiming that despite Drew suffering from a terrible headache, they had celebrated her acquittal with champagne.

However, after just one sip, Drew started slurring his words and then collapsed. As Liz comforted her “distressed” friend with a hug, Willow inquired if she had managed to get him help in time.

Later, when Nina arrived with Kai, who had driven her from the cafe, Willow maintained her act of a distraught wife.

Stepping aside to contact Drew’s assistant, Kai observed Willow crying to her mother about her fears and remembered Trina’s assertion that Willow had intended to kill Drew the night of the shooting.

Lucas Informed The Family That Drew Had A Massive Stroke

Tracy got off the elevator and saw Nina and Willow; she joined them and Kai to wait for news about Drew. Lucas approached and said Drew likely had a massive stroke.

Dr. Jones warned the family that it would take time to know if Drew would recover, and some stroke patients might have lasting issues.

Willow cried at the thought of Drew not being able to move well-after Lucas’s update, Kai went to make calls, and Willow went to the restroom.

Alone with Tracy, Nina said they should stay hopeful for Willow, but Tracy joked that Drew possibly being a vegetable was karma. Meanwhile, Willow took the syringe she used on Drew from her purse and secretly threw it in a hospital needle container.
