Today On General Hospital – Carly Tried To Get Sidwell To Break Up Marco And Lucas

At the Metro Court, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) took a seat directly across from Jenz Sidwell ( Carlo Rota). She spoke to him with the intention of persuading him to undermine the relationship between Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) and Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo). (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

However, Jenz declined to get involved, citing that Lucas brought genuine happiness to Marco’s life.

Instead of agreeing to her request, he proposed an alternative solution: helping Carly mend her own relationship with Lucas.

He advised her to start by fostering a better rapport with Marco and even extended an invitation for her to visit Wyndemere.

Jordan Ran Into Brick As He Was Waiting For Carly

At the bar, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) ran into Brick while he was waiting for Carly. He asked her to dinner sometime, but before she could reply, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) showed up, and she introduced them.

After Brick left, Curtis asked Jordan about her connection with him, and she explained that Brick was an associate of Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and Sonny, who focused on intelligence, and she had collaborated with him several times.

Changing the topic, Curtis inquired if she had visited Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) at the hospital yet, but neither had.

Jordan And Curtis Caught Up

Jordan expressed her concern about Drew’s stroke; Curtis said he was uncertain about his feelings since the congressman being incapacitated meant he could no longer pursue his family.

Jordan then asked if there was any news on Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). Curtis sighed, saying he was waiting on the paternity test until Portia was ready to take it, but he believed he had a right to know if she was expecting his child.

When Jordan said that it would affect his future either way, Curtis clarified that it would impact their future and then reached for her hand across the table. Both seemed not sure what to make of Drew’s unexpected tragedy.

Carly Met With Brick

As Carly met Brick at the table in the hallway, he inquired about her discussion with Sidwell. She explained that her brother was dating Sidwell’s son and expressed her concern that Lucas was at risk living with Sidwell at Wyndemere, which had sparked a major argument between them.

When Brick asked how her worries related to her talk with Sidwell, Carly admitted she had considered asking Sidwell for help in separating Lucas and Marco.

Brick acknowledged that her intentions were good but cautioned her that Sidwell was not a trustworthy ally, as he always acted in his own self-interest.

Sonny Manipulated Ava

Ava delivered Avery Corinthos-Jerome’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) dance recital costume to Sonny’s house, where he mentioned Sidwell.

He attempted to caution her about Sidwell’s dangerous nature, but his manipulation backfired-Ava insisted that her dealings with Jenz were not Sonny’s business and that she could take care of herself.

Later, when she joined Sidwell at his table at the Metro Court, Ava expressed her frustration about being late because Sonny had wanted to talk when she dropped off something for their daughter.

Observing how quickly Ava ordered a martini from the server, Sidwell remarked that her conversation with Sonny must have been intense. And she confirmed that he was indeed the topic of their discussion.

Ava Warned Jenz About Sonny

Ava cautioned Jenz to be careful around Sonny, and he expressed regret for Sonny taking his frustrations out on her.

Wanting to maintain their friendship, Jenz mentioned he would understand if she needed to distance herself for Avery’s benefit, but Ava was determined not to give Sonny that satisfaction.

While she appreciated him as a client, Ava recognized that he might prefer to collaborate with another gallery.

Praising her for being charming, clever, and attractive, Jenz noted that he admired her bravery, especially given the rumors about him.

When Ava pointed out that there were also rumors about her, Jenz reassured her that he didn’t care about others’ opinions and formed his own views.

Ava Was Concerned Over Carly Seeming To Lurk

Later, when Ava expressed concern that Carly was lurking and might report their meeting to Sonny, Jenz suggested they go back to Wyndemere.

“I think that’s a fantastic idea,” she exclaimed with a playful smile, and it’ll give Sonny something to truly be upset about.”

As they awaited the launch, Ava shared with Jenz that  she liked the thought of Carly telling Sonny they had left the Metro Court together.

But  she didn’t want to create unnecessary tension between him and Sonny. Reassuring her, Jenz said he had a solid track record of dealing with Sonny Corinthos.

Jason Hunted Britt Down To Talk The Day After She Dumped Him

The day after Britt broke up with Jason, he found her at General Hospital to talk. He brought Lucas into their discussion as a witness in case she needed to file a restraining order.

Britt condemned Jason for being bad for her and insisted she didn’t need saving anymore.

She shouted that if he truly respected her, he would leave her alone, and then she walked away, leaving Jason to apologize to a shocked Lucas for being involved in their drama. Around the corner, Britt cried over having to end things with Jason.

Jason Went To Talk To Sonny About Britt

After his very public breakup with Britt, Jason went to Sonny’s house. Sonny mentioned that he had planted some useful seeds against Sidwell while Ava was there earlier.

Since both Avery’s mom and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) were competing for the man, they had an edge with Sidwell being distracted.

Jason questioned how long Sonny would allow Sidwell to continue blackmailing him, and Sonny complained that he would deal with Sidwell right now if Laura Collins (Genie Francis) wasn’t also involved.

Then, Sonny asked if Britt had mentioned anything about Sidwell, and Jason explained that Britt had broken up with him because of his friendship with Carly.

Jason Told Sonny He Was Putting Britt Under Surveillance

Updating Sonny about the events at Bobbie’s, Jason mentioned that Carly believed Britt had orchestrated the fight, and he thought it was to help him.

Since discovering her at the Five Poppies, Jason observed that Britt had been distancing herself whenever she seemed ready to share something with him.

Suspecting she had staged the fight to break things off, Jason noted that he had gone to GH to see her response, and she had threatened him with a restraining order.

The men concurred that something had unsettled Britt and talked about what they knew regarding her involvement in Sidwell’s project.

Seeking clarity, Jason resolved to keep her under observation, but Sonny cautioned him to be cautious as Sidwell likely had someone watching Jason too.

Marco Called Cullum Over To Spoon Island

While his father was on the mainland, Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) summoned WSB Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to Spoon Island to talk about Sonny Corinthos.

Marco detailed how his dad had leverage over Sonny and was exploiting it for his own purposes, but he believed it was too dangerous to abandon the mobster.

When Cullum inquired if this was related to avenging his mother’s death, Marco admitted that he would relish seeing Sonny pay for what he did to Natalia Rogers Ramirez (Eva LaRue).

However, Marco felt that the threat to their business loomed larger, in spite of wanting to avenge his mother.

Marco Wanted Cullum To Take Out Sonny

Subsequently, Marco revealed that despite Sonny selling Jenz his piers, the crime lord still maintained control over the port.

Marco speculated that Sonny was taking advantage of Sidwell’s complacency to devise his revenge. Thereby, making it perilous to have their project situated directly across the harbor from the one individual who could bring it to a halt.

Then Marco revealed his sinister wishes for Sonny. Declaring that blackmail alone wouldn’t suffice to neutralize Corinthos, Marco suggested that Cullum should eliminate Sonny from the equation.

Josslyn Told Jack About The Catacombs Conversation With Lucas And Marco

At Pier 55, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) informed Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) that she had visited Wyndemere with Lucas.

Although her boss was upset about her disobedience, Joss maintained that she was fine since Pascal (Marc Forget) was out of the country.

She then shared Marco’s strange response to Lucas’s desire to explore the catacombs and implied that whatever Sidwell was concealing on Spoon Island was located in the tunnels.

As they discussed Faison’s past in Port Charles at Wyndemere, Jack concurred that the criminal’s associates might have been executing his final project on the island.

Spoon Island was notorious for losing power during storms, and a blizzard was imminent in Port Charles.

Josslyn Wanted To Search The Castle, But Jack Wouldn’t Allow It

Joss believed she would have the ideal chance to investigate the castle if all its residents returned to the mainland to ride out the storm.

Jack insisted it was too dangerous for Joss to search the island alone and preferred to wait until he could gather a team.  This led Joss to exclaim that the real reason was his reluctance to endanger his girlfriend’s daughter.

Just then, Jack received a text from Cullum, who was en route. This prompted him to instruct Josslyn to leave before the director arrived and to steer clear of Spoon Island.

Josslyn Eavesdropped On Jack And Cullum

Josslyn listened in as Jack met with Cullum, who wanted to know how Sonny was involved in Sidwell’s operation in Port Charles.

Cullum found it strange that Corinthos, who controlled the Eastern seaport, would give up his transport hub to Sidwell. Jack insisted there was only bad blood between the two men, mentioning that Sonny held Sidwell responsible for the fire at Charlie’s Pub, and nothing had been reported to the WSB since then.

Cullum thought that was suspicious, but Jack argued that the piers purchase seemed legitimate and didn’t believe Sonny was aware of Sidwell’s dealings.

Josslyn noted as Cullum accused Jack of avoiding looking into Corinthos due to his relationship with the man’s ex-wife, and Jack stated that he was only dating Carly to gather information on Sonny.

Marco Called Britt Over To Wyndemere

After Cullum left, Marco called Britt to come to Wyndemere. She said she had patients and couldn’t go, but he threatened to inform the WSB director about her issues, so she agreed to go to the island.

Back at the hub, she asked Lucas to check on a patient since she needed to leave early, and Lucas asked Britt if she was okay after her fight with Jason.

Britt pretended to be fine but hinted that she knew it would end badly, so she couldn’t let Jason hold her back. Lucas agreed that sometimes you must prioritize yourself, even if you love someone.

Lucas Showed Up At Wyndemere, Interrupting Marco With Britt

As soon as Britt stepped into Wyndemere, Marco eagerly guided her through the lab. However, upon their return to the living room upstairs, Britt voiced her concerns, stating that the space did not have the necessary safety measures she required to complete her cold fusion project.

When Marco suggested that she was merely procrastinating, Britt raised her voice, insisting that all she wanted was to finish her work as quickly as possible.

At that moment, Lucas walked in and was taken aback to find Britt with Marco. “Alright, fill me in on this; what exactly do you want to wrap up with what?” Lucas inquired.

Carly Confided In Brick The Distance In Her Family

Back at the Metro Court, Carly told Brick she had been feeling distant from her family lately. She felt unable to be honest with her loved ones, and they with her.

She apologized for unloading her feelings, but Brick reassured her that they were friends and she could confide in him anytime.

He also offered his assistance if she ever needed anything, but Carly insisted she knew what she needed to do and was determined to follow through-and it had nothing to do with Jenz Sidwell. When Jack came over, the two men exchanged pleasantries before Brick said his farewells.

Jack Continued Talking With Carly As Josslyn Called Brick For Help

Once alone with Carly, Jack joked about being worried about Brick, and she laughed, saying flirting was part of their relationship.

Jack felt relieved he didn’t have to compete for her love, as having Carly meant a lot to him-she remembered overhearing Jack and Britt talk about her work with Sidwell.

Seeing Carly’s distant look, Jack asked what she was thinking; she covered up, saying she was happy to be the easy part of his life.

As Brick left the Metro Court, he got an unexpected call. Later, he went to Josslyn’s apartment, and when she thanked him for coming quickly, Brick said he was there to help her with anything she needed.
