Plus, Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) was jealous as he watched Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) together.

  • Emma assures Anna she has no interest in joining the WSB, but Peter resurfaces with chilling warnings about Britt using Emma against Anna.
  • Ric grows increasingly jealous after seeing Dante and Elizabeth bonding at the park, despite Liz reassuring Dante he did the right thing by protecting Rocco.

Josslyn Jacks’s Warning

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) went back to Jack Brennan’s (Chris L. McKenna) office to accept his dinner invitation, but he had to decline because he was waiting for an important call.

He expressed concern that his work might affect their relationship like it did with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright). Their passionate kiss was interrupted by Josslyn, who had just returned from a run in the park and recalled the day she was shot.

After finding out Josslyn was a WSB agent, Nina left. Josslyn warned Jack about Nina, saying she made the Corinthos family believe Sonny was dead during his amnesia.

Jack, not caring about Nina’s history, dismissed Josslyn, saying he had learned to separate his personal life from his WSB work.

Sonny Corinthos’s Blessing

Meanwhile, General Hospital recaps for Monday’s show note that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) told Sonny he was resigning as his enforcer.

He recounted the day of his arrest and how it made him realize he had failed Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) too often-now free, he wanted to prioritize his son.

Although Sonny was a little shocked, he offered to change Jason’s job, Jason insisted he needed to set a better example for Danny. Both men became emotional as Jason expressed gratitude for Sonny giving him purpose in his youth.

Sonny gave Jason his blessing, promising they would always be brothers, and they shared a hug.

Anna Devane Blindsided

A blindsided Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) saw Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly kissing at the Metro Court Gardens.

Peter August (Wes Ramsey) mocked that Valentin was too busy to help her. Anna accidentally bumped into a waiter, making him drop his tray,  drawing Valentin and Carly’s attention; they invited her to join them.

Valentin happily shared that they were celebrating his regained assets, but Anna cautioned him that he was foolish to risk his freedom.

She warned him that by making a deal with the WSB, they would pull him back in. Carly noted that Valentin showed it was possible to escape the bureau, giving her hope for Josslyn’s future.

Anna’s Apology

Feeling it might be too late, Anna apologized for not telling Carly she knew Joss was an agent; she would have discouraged Josslyn from joining the WSB but had tried to watch over her.

Carly appreciated Anna’s concern for her daughter, but Valentin worried it would take Anna a long time to move past the ghost of Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).

After leaving Jack’s office, Nina encountered Valentin and Carly at the Metro Court Garden. Valentin thanked her for helping him regain his money (since Jack wouldn’t have made a deal otherwise).

Still, he also warned Nina that Brennan was only interested in her because she was his ex-wife. Carly admired how Valentin handled Nina.

Trina Robinson Distracted

Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner), along with Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), attempted to distract Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) from the looming trial of Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) by organizing a game night.

However, Josslyn chose to skip the gathering, claiming she had work obligations. Trina confided in her friends that she wouldn’t be attending the trial because her father preferred she stay away, yet she expressed a deep sense of unease about not being there.

Gio’s mother, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), then called and reminded Gio he and Trina had an important meeting with the record executive.

With that, Gio and Trina set off for a meeting with Simon (Grady Eldridge), with Kai accompanying them.

Anna Talks WSB

General Hospital recaps for August 3 state that upon returning home, Anna took a moment to share with Emma the details of her recent discussion with Carly and Valentin regarding Josslyn.

She felt a wave of relief wash over her when she learned that her granddaughter had no interest in joining the WSB.

However, the atmosphere shifted when Peter made a sudden reappearance, taunting Anna with the notion that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) would manipulate Emma to reach her, and that Valentin would be powerless to intervene.

Anna, determined not to let that scenario unfold, firmly stated that she could not allow such a thing to happen. Peter, with a smirk, reminded her that she alone held the power to thwart Britt’s plans.

Simon’s Misunderstanding

As they awaited Gio and Trina at the Surf Lodge, Simon shared with Brook Lynn that he had “big plans” for the couple.

When Trina introduced her boyfriend, Simon was irritated and refused to shake Kai’s hand. He confided in Brook Lynn that the entire marketing strategy revolved around promoting Gio and Trina as a couple and insisted she get them on board.

Brook Lynn conveyed this to Gio, Trina, and Kai, who were all horrified by the notion of a fabricated relationship.

Gio considered utilizing the 90-day out clause in their contract, but Brook Lynn deceived him, suggesting they give Simon time to devise a new strategy, assuring him she would manage the situation.

Meanwhile, Trina’s obsessed fan was browsing through photos of her and Kai on the computer, digitally erasing Kai from one of the pictures.

Ric Lansing’s Jealousy

Ric felt a pang of jealousy when he saw Dante giving Elizabeth softball tips at the park. The atmosphere grew tense as he approached them, and Ric eventually left after arranging to meet Liz later.

Once they were alone again, Dante informed Liz that Anna had ceased her search for the missing Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) evidence, but he was grappling with the fact that he had compromised his career for personal reasons.

Their connection deepened as Liz comforted Dante, affirming that he had made the right decision by protecting Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), so he shouldn’t harbor guilt.

Meanwhile, Ric returned to the park, irritated to find Liz and Dante still together.
