General Hospital' Recap Monday, December 8: Jack’s On The Hunt, Charlotte’s Worried, Valentin Escapes Josslyn

General Hospital recaps for Monday, December 8 reveal Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna) is on the hunt, and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) is worried. In the meantime, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is sent to the shed!

Jack’s On The Hunt

At the WSB field office,  Jack shouted commands into the phone regarding the retrieval of their captive and monitoring his daughter.

When Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) inquired about the situation, he disclosed that Valentin Cassadine had managed to escape during a transfer from prison. She volunteered to assist, but Jack informed her that he needed to head to the PCPD to organize the search for the fugitive.

Josslyn reminded him that Valentin had previously attempted to take his life, which also endangered her mother. Jack reassured her that he was Valentin’s main target, but he offered to assign someone to keep an eye on Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Josslyn Volunteered To Keep An Eye On Her Mother

General Hospital recaps for December 8 note Josslyn insisted on taking on that responsibility herself and was incredulous that he was still focused on extracting information from Valentin rather than on the fact that Valentin was out to kill him.

She had reminded him of Valentin’s attempted polonium poisoning and that her mother had drunk the poisoned champagne instead. Jack hadn’t forgotten any of that, but stressed to Josslyn that the mission was the most important thing, and he still needed vital information from Valentin.

This information had to do with Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) last project and Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) involvement in it.  (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Chase Snuck Up On Brook Lynn In The Breakfast Room

A shirtless Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) walked into the Quartermaine kitchen and took Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) phone so he could give her a passionate kiss.

She shared her appreciation for his effort in cooking a full Thanksgiving turkey dinner, then confessed that she actually enjoyed the family tradition of having pizza on the holiday.

Chase joked that he would have liked to know that before working hard in the kitchen, but he couldn’t resist the challenge of breaking the curse.

Sadly, their romantic moment was cut short when Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) called Chase into work to help find Valentin. Chase explained he was called into work and that Valentin was on the loose.

Brook Lynn Found Ned Snacking

Later, Brook Lynn came back to the kitchen and saw Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) eating leftovers. She reminded him that Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) didn’t want him to eat pizza, and he playfully asked her to keep quiet about his late-night snack.

He promised to eat more responsibly, which made Brook Lynn happy, especially after his recent heart attack.

Ned admitted that during his health scare, he wished for one more chance to express his feelings to his family, and then he told his daughter that he loved her. He sat down for chamomile tea, but Brook Lynn informed him that he couldn’t have any due to his medications.

Brook Lynn Updated Her Father On Chase Going Into Work, And Valentin’s Escape

She stated that Chase needed to head to work since Valentin escaped and was still at large.  She reminisced about the time she pretended that Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) daughter, Bailey Lou Jones (Miley and Riley Plonski), was her own child with Valentin.

She felt guilty because that plan had caused her father pain, but Ned reassured her that it was all behind them.

He pointed out that she had made him a grandfather, after all, and his grandson, Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), played a role in saving his life.

Brook Lynn was pleased that she and Gio were truly advancing in their relationship, and Ned promised that everything would turn out well.

Dante Sent Nathan To Lulu’s House

After informing Nathan about Valentin’s escape, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) requested him to visit Lulu Spencer’s (Alexa Havins Bruening)  to ensure their safety, as Cassadine would likely look for his daughter, Charlotte, eventually.

He needed to remain at the station to manage operations, but was concerned for Lulu’s well-being. Chase showed up, and Dante tasked him with leading a search party while also asking another officer to bring in Alexis.

When she got there, Dante had just begun to inquire about Valentin when Jack arrived to collaborate with the PCPD. Alexis was taken aback by the news of Valentin’s escape, and Jack questioned whether the letters exchanged between her and her cousin contained hidden meanings.

Jack Continued His Suspicions And Warned Alexis Not To Aid And Abet Valentin

Alexis maintained that their communication was harmless, primarily discussing Charlotte and local happenings. Jack requested a team to monitor Alexis’s residence, and Dante informed her that they were already on it, which surprised her.

Alexis firmly stated that she would never assist Valentin in escaping prison, but Jack proposed that, as the trustee of the Cassadine estate, he might seek financial help from her.

Alexis dismissed that idea as well, asserting they were squandering time and resources, but promised to inform the police if Valentin reached out to her. Jack then warned her not to aid and abet Valentin, as it could be a fatal mistake!

Lucas Came Home To Wyndemere

Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) returned to Wyndemere, where Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo) surprised him with a romantic evening after the doctor had to work on Thanksgiving. Lucas was impressed, and Marco treated him to some wine and a back rub until Pascal (Marc Forget) interrupted to see if they needed anything.

Initially, Lucas insisted he was okay, but when Marco asked if he had eaten, the doctor confessed he hadn’t had any of the Quartermaine turkey donated to the hospital. Pascal agreed to make some sandwiches, and Lucas politely asked for some dressing and cranberry sauce as well.

Later, while they were eating, Lucas talked about work before mentioning Carly’s visit to “apologize without actually apologizing.”

Lucas And Marco Talked About Carly Until The Police Arrived, Searching For Valentin

Marco felt guilty for causing tension between him and his sister, but Lucas reassured him that Marco wasn’t the issue; Carly was.

When he pointed out that she was judging Marco based on his father, Marco appeared uneasy. They were then interrupted by a knock at the door, and Pascal opened it to find Chase and some officers.

They said they were there to search Wyndemere for Valentin, as he used to live there. After receiving an approving nod from Pascal, Marco agreed to let them conduct their search-he took Lucas upstairs to bed and left Pascal to handle the police.

Lucas Woke Up To No Marco, While Marco Talked To Pascal

Upstairs, Lucas was unsure if Pascal disliked him or was simply being “European.” Marco reassured him that Pascal treated everyone this way but would take care of the police.

When the cops showed up, Lucas thought they were there for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and he realized Carly was right-Marco inquired if Lucas was having doubts, but Lucas insisted he wasn’t.

Later, Lucas woke up in bed and wondered where his boyfriend had gone. Marco was downstairs talking to Pascal, who said the police found no evidence of Valentin or his father’s activities.

Marco thanked him for managing the situation and stressed how crucial it was for Lucas to never learn what Sidwell was doing-or his own connection to, or he would lose Lucas forever. Pascal appeared indifferent.

Rocco And Charlotte Talked About Their Dads

On the porch at Lulu’s, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) told Charlotte he was so mad at his dad that he didn’t want to talk to Dante. He asked if she ever felt that way about her father.

Charlotte said no and wished she could talk to him now. She was excited that her dad might be moved to a prison in America, making visits easier, and Rocco was glad for her.

Lulu, overhearing, became worried, especially when Dante called to say Valentin had escaped and might come after Charlotte. Lulu shouted for her kids to get inside and shared what she knew about Valentin.

Charlotte Was Worried About Her Dad, And Admitted She’d Leave Town With Him

General Hospital recaps reveal that Charlotte worried about her dad’s safety, but Lulu was more worried about Charlotte running off with him; Rocco told Lulu she couldn’t force Charlotte to pick between her parents.

But Lulu insisted Valentin was dangerous, as Charlotte argued her dad always kept her safe, prompting Lulu to remind her that’s why he sent her to live with her.

Charlotte wondered if he had changed his mind, and Lulu pleaded with her to promise to stay with them. “Do you want me to tell you what you want to hear, or be honest?”

Charlotte asked, “I’d rather be honest.” Lulu wanted no more lies, so Charlotte confessed that if her dad came, she couldn’t guarantee she’d stay in town.

Lulu Panicked At A Knock On The Door, But It Was Just Nathan

Lulu panicked at a knock on the door, but it was just Nathan, and she was relieved. The detective asked for Charlotte’s phone-she hesitated, but Lulu insisted, so she gave it up, thinking her dad wouldn’t call her.

Wanting fresh air, Charlotte asked to go out, and Nathan reassured her there were cops around, so she’d be safe on the porch.

Lulu agreed, and Rocco went outside with Charlotte and told  Nathan how Valentin had put her in a tough spot again, and she was worried about her daughter. Nathan assured her Charlotte would be okay, and outside, Charlotte signaled to her dad that she loved him if he was watching.

Carly Came Home To Valentin In Her House

Carly was surprised to see Valentin in her house, and he reminded her they were meant to take down Jack Brennan together. She said his sudden appearance wasn’t part of the plan and asked how he escaped.

He told her her idea to have Jack transfer him to the States worked, and he jumped out of the plane with help from a guard on their side.

She warned he would be caught since everyone knew he would go to Port Charles, and Valentin agreed, but said Carly’s home would be the last place anyone would search.

She threw him a first aid kit, telling him to fix himself up and leave, but he insisted she had to hide him because they were a team.

Carly Told Valentin She Couldn’t Hide Him, Then Josslyn Dropped In!

Carly said she was fine sneaking into Steinmauer to see him, but wouldn’t harbor an international fugitive-Valentin was let down because he thought she was serious about taking down Jack.

She said she was, but was worried about Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears), who was thankfully with her father-just then, Josslyn walked in, and Valentin vanished.

Carly tried to act normal when her daughter asked to stay the night to give Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) some space.

While they talked about Jack, Joss sat on the couch and found the first aid kit. Carly pretended to be relieved to find it and said she and Donna were playing doctor.

Valentin Was Sent To The Shed!

Josslyn alerted her mother about a news update she had seen regarding Valentin’s escape, urging her to ensure that all the alarms were activated.

Carly questioned why the Cassadine would choose to come here, and Josslyn reminded her that she is in a relationship with Jack, who is Valentin’s adversary.

After Josslyn finally headed upstairs, Carly stepped outside, where she found Valentin mimicking the same “I love you” hand sign as Charlotte while gazing up at the sky.

When she handed him a key to the shed, he attempted to object, but she was adamant, giving him the first aid kit and sending him on his way.
