- Josslyn and Liesl piece together the cold fusion mystery while discussing Anna’s disappearance, Britt’s involvement, and the true purpose behind their captivity.
- Sidwell is blindsided when his blackmail photos disappear, leading him to suspect Lucas is responsible and setting the stage for a dangerous confrontation.
- Cullum Locked Up Liesl With Joss
Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) brought a drugged Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) to the basement room, only to be taken aback when he discovered that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was already there.
Reflecting on his suspicion that Josslyn’s ditzy sorority girl persona was a facade, he cautioned her not to get too comfortable before making his way upstairs.
Meanwhile, in the study, Sidwell informed Cassius that Cullum had successfully captured Obrecht.
Cassius struggled to contain his fury as Sidwell explained how Cassius’s mother would be compelled to finish constructing Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) prototype.
Cullum Barged In
Their discussion was abruptly cut short when Cullum barged in.
He insisted to understand the reason behind Josslyn’s hostage situation and, and then berated the two for failing to inform him that they had been detaining a WSB agent for almost a month.
Jenz nonchalantly replied that Cullum often took actions without keeping them in the loop, so they merely mirrored his approach.
Shortly after, Sidwell got a phone call alerting him to an issue with his flight path and hurriedly left to address the matter.
Laura And Sonny Waited For Sidwell To React To Laura’s Shutting Down His Flight Path
At the Metro Court Garden, Laura and Sonny awaited Sidwell’s arrival after the mayor had officially closed the flight path and helicopter pad.
Sonny informed Laura that he was keeping their families under watch in case Sidwell decided to retaliate, but Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) had declined his offer of protection.
Concerned that Lucas was too overwhelmed with grief to recognize the danger he was in, Laura expressed her worries, to which Sonny responded that they needed to follow through after all that Lucas had done for them.
When Sidwell finally showed up, he confronted Laura and Sonny with anger, threatening to reveal the damaging photographs unless the mayor reversed her decision.
Laura Challenged Jenz To Do His Worst
Laura challenged him to do his worst, and Jenz, confident in his ability to send her to prison, announced that he would appoint Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) as her replacement before storming off.
Sonny and Laura felt they had gained the upper hand against Sidwell.
However, they acknowledged that they didn’t know what would happen next.
Sonny speculated that without the blackmail evidence, they had no way of knowing how Sidwell would retaliate, or who his target would be.
Alexis Declined To Represent Curtis
Across the restaurant, Curtis approached Alexis to ask her to represent him in his assault case.
However, she declined his request because she had already spoken with Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) regarding a lawsuit he was planning to file against Curtis.
Although she had also turned down Isaiah, Alexis clarified that she couldn’t, in good faith, cross-examine Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) after having already disrupted the woman’s life during Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial.
After assuring Curtis that she would help him find a top-notch defense attorney, he revealed his plan to defend himself.
He planned to that Isaiah was the other driver involved in the car accident with him and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper).
Alexis Warned Curtis His Idea Could Backfire
Alexis cautioned him that this approach could backfire, potentially portraying Curtis as a bitter ex-husband.
Curtis expressed his gratitude for her advice but remained determined to pursue this strategy, believing it was the only way to hold Isaiah responsible.
He asserted that even if Isaiah escaped prosecution for the accident, there was the fallout from the revelation that he had abandoned Jordan to die.
He felt that-along with the risk of losing his medical license-would be significant enough to impact his reputation.
Portia Asked Isaiah To Stall His Lawsuit Against Curtis
Meanwhile, Portia discovered Isaiah in the conference room following his meeting with the board members regarding the surgeon who would take his place.
He mentioned that he intended to remain as a consultant and diagnostician, with hopes of returning to the staff if his hand recovered.
However, with his future as a surgeon uncertain, Isaiah was preparing to sue Curtis.
Although a lawsuit would put her and her children right in the midst of the conflict between the two men, Portia recognized that Isaiah had every right to seek compensation.
Yet, for the sake of Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), she urged him to postpone filing his lawsuit until after the baby was born.
Lucas Got A Text From Sonny, And Met With Kristina
Meanwhile at the hospital, Lucas got a text from Sonny confirming that their plan was underway.
He also had a meeting with Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) regarding the tennis center dedicated to Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
She requested that he manage the construction since she was relocating to California for medical school.
Kristina mentioned that she had been delaying telling her parents due to uncertainty about their reaction and her desire not to leave Charlie’s Pub in a difficult position.
After all, her father essentially purchased the bar for her, but Lucas reassured her that they would be supportive of her decision.
Trina Got A Call About Rehearsal For The Showcase
Trina received a call informing her that a studio had a last-minute slot available for her and Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) to rehearse for the showcase, but she declined.
She explained to Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) that she was too occupied with errands for Portia’s baby shower.
Kai expressed concern that by prioritizing her parents’ issues over her own aspirations, Trina might be missing out on a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Trina confided her fear of failure, and Kai urged her to take a risk and prioritize herself for once.
Trina ultimately decided to concentrate on the showcase after the baby shower concluded.
Cassius Saved Josslyn From Cullum’s Kill
Back at Wyndemere, Cullum had intentions to eliminate Josslyn, but Cassius intervened, asserting that her connections made her a significant asset.
He accused Faison’s son of attempting to undermine the project with his recent careless behavior, warning Cassius not to allow his mother to escape as his sister had.
Cassius, claiming that Obrecht held no importance to him, left the scene.
Downstairs, after successfully rousing Obrecht, Josslyn disclosed her identity as a WSB agent and clarified that they were located beneath Wyndemere.
Obrecht And Josslyn Talked
Obrecht came to the realization that Josslyn’s affiliation with the WSB was the reason behind her numerous inquiries about Cesar Faison (Anders Hove).
Josslyn showed Obrecht the message Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had inscribed on the bedroom wall and shared her hypothesis.
She thought that Cullum and Sidwell had taken Anna captive because she was on the verge of uncovering Faison’s final project.
Josslyn further mentioned that the cold fusion prototype was nearing completion, but an replacement scientist was required to finalize the device, after the original one walked away.
Obrecht was appalled to learn that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had been coerced into working on the project in return for Huntington’s medication.
As “Not Nathan” Entered The Captivity Compound, Sidwell Discovered His Leverage Missing
Obrecht was puzzled as to why Britt hadn’t sought her brother’s assistance, and just as Josslyn was ready to reveal the truth about “Nathan” to Liesl, Cassius made his entrance.
Meanwhile, upstairs, a furious Sidwell returned home and headed straight to his safe, with Cullum observing, intent on exposing Laura and Sonny.
To his shock, he found that the photographs of them with Henry Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) body were missing.
Jenz quickly deduced that Lucas had taken them.
Almost immediately, Lucas called him, suggesting they meet at the Corinthos-Davis House to discuss the progress of Marco’s tennis center.
