General Hospital recaps for Friday, October 9, revealed Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) pushed Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) to sue for defamation, while Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) shared her expertise.
Plus, at the hospital, Stella Henry (Verneé Watson) was suspicious of Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard).
Key Takeaways
- Chase pushes Willow to sue Lulu.
- Anna offers her WSB expertise.
- Sidwell denies Lulu’s explosive story.
- Gio moves out of Sonny’s home.
- Stella immediately distrusts Monet.

Chase Pushed Willow To Sue For Defamation
Suspecting the Quartermaines orchestrated the story in The Invader, Chase urged Willow to pursue a libel suit against Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and the publication.
Though Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) knew the article’s claims were accurate, she advised Willow to issue a denial and avoid alerting Chase, who remained unaware.
Once Britt departed, Chase rejected her cautious approach, insisting they counterattack by forcing Lulu to retract the false narrative.
Willow expressed reluctance to involve Chase in her problems given his existing conflicts with the Quartermaines.
Chase remained resolute about protecting her from their interference. “Trust me, it’s not just for you,” he stated. “It’s for both of us.”
Anna Shared Her Expertise
In the PCPD interrogation room, prosecutor Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) told Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) she’d prosecute Willow if Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) allegations proved valid, questioning why Drew wasn’t mentioned in the article.
Anna arrived, and Justine sought her expertise as a former WSB agent.
Dante hesitated to involve Anna due to her mental health struggles, but she provided crucial information about a WSB cocktail capable of inducing locked-in syndrome.
Dante went to G.H. to obtain Sidwell’s statement, while Justine apologized to Anna for prior accusations of bias toward Sonny.
Doubting her own objectivity, Justine asked Anna to review the evidence regarding Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Sidwell’s assaults to determine whether charges against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) were warranted.

Isaiah, Tristan And Britt All Visited Sidwell
Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) and Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) informed Sidwell of his post-operative status following open-heart surgery.
Sidwell mentioned experiencing vivid dreams, and Isaiah attributed this to potent painkillers.
Isaiah referenced both Curtis and Sidwell returning to Pentonville, prompting Sidwell’s cryptic response that circumstances could shift.
Britt then visited seeking details about Sidwell’s controversial interview with Lulu.
Sidwell claimed he’d hallucinated the conversation but appeared startled by The Invader’s article.
Britt deduced he obtained the paralytic from Cullum via the WSB and offered him an alternative.
Dante then arrived requesting a statement, but Sidwell denied Lulu’s article as fabrication.
Emma Met With Anna While Gio Moved Out From Sonny’s
Before heading to the PCPD, Anna met granddaughter Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) at Bad Jen Café, delighted to hear Emma was moving in with Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza).
As Emma discussed tensions between Gio and Sonny regarding Curtis’s assault, Anna encouraged her to support her boyfriend.
At Sonny’s house, Gio announced his move to his grandfather, who questioned Dante’s influence.
Conflicted, Gio doubted Sonny’s innocence but insisted on his independence. Sonny acknowledged everyone’s suspicions and didn’t want Gio caught between them.
When Emma arrived, she stated she believed Sonny ordered the beating.
Sonny vowed to prove his innocence for Gio’s sake. As he departed, Gio declined Sonny’s offer to help find a music manager, devastating his grandfather.
Stella Welcomed Portia Back To Work
Stella greeted Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) upon her return to G.H. from maternity leave.
Portia appreciated Stella and Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) agreeing to watch Des Ashford (Yireh Aviah Lafond) during work hours.
When Isaiah arrived, Portia sensed friction between him and Stella.
Isaiah later explained to Portia that he preferred limiting his time with Des to weekends for family harmony.
Portia asserted that, as her partner, Isaiah deserved a place in her life, and Stella and Marshall needed to accept this.
Stella Was Suspicious Of Monet
Curtis informed Monet he was unaware Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) had a half-sister, as Jordan rarely discussed family matters. He planned to address this with his girlfriend upon returning from Germany.
Curtis then pressed Monet about deliberately withholding her connection to Jordan.
Monet explained she wanted to establish herself as a competent lawyer first since Jordan had always dismissed her as an incompetent younger sibling.
When Stella entered, Curtis introduced Monet as Jordan’s sister.
Stella grew suspicious, escorted Monet out, and remarked that if no one knew Jordan had a sister, Monet likely had ulterior motives.
Though Stella and Curtis agreed Monet was untrustworthy, Curtis saw no downside to hiring her since she’d need to demonstrate her capabilities.
Annemarie’s Take
Chase pushing Willow to sue Lulu may backfire spectacularly if the truth about the paralytic comes out, especially since Britt already knows Willow really did drug Drew.
Meanwhile, Stella’s instincts about Monet shouldn’t be ignored. Do you think Monet has another reason for suddenly showing up in Curtis and Jordan’s lives?
