‘General Hospital Recap’ Thursday, August 21: Martin’s Defiance, Ava’s Leverage, Willow Hugs Drew, Lulu & BLQ’s Peace Treaty

General Hospital recap is finally in for Thursday, August 21, 2025! In today’s episode, Ava Jerome (Maura West) gets unexpected leverage. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) finds Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Plus, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) make a pact. 

Martin Grey’s Defiance

At the police station, Drew threatens Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight). The lawyer says he’ll sign the statement once Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) is cleared.

Drew threatens to fire him. Martin says there’s nothing left to do then and walks back into the station where the others are waiting. He didn’t recall seeing anything that night and can’t sign Drew’s statement.

Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) says that this case is now closed. Drew accuses her of working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Sonny speaks to Justine privately. He warns that she’s made an enemy out of Drew. She’s not scared of him. Afterward, Diane Miller (Carolyn Henessy) wonders if Sonny is playing Turner, or if she’s playing him.  (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Curtis Ashfords’ Warpath

At the hospital, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) rants about Drew. The man wants to expose Drew in the press. Stella and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) warn that could make things even worse. 

Martin arrives and confirms Drew was responsible. Martin apologizes for any role he played in that. Martin says he and Drew are enemies now. Curtis declares Drew must be stopped!

Meanwhile, Drew goes to the hospital to see Willow. The congressman claims he now understands how Michael’s family has taken advantage of the justice system.

They go into a room to talk privately. She needs help but doesn’t know if she can trust Drew. He claims Nina pushed him into a lie. He’ll get her kids back for her. They hug as Nina looks through the window.

Molly Lansing-Davis’ Fantasy

At Bobbie’s, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) fantasizes. Right before the fantasy kiss, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) comes in. She tries to talk to him about horses, but he tells her to use Google, then exits. 

Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) tells Molly to take it easy on Cody. He was at the hospital all night with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). After talking to Kristina, Molly goes to leave. She bumps into Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and blurts out she has feelings for Cody. 

Ava Jerome’s Leverage

Ava and Nina are having lunch, but they spot Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Nina admits she hired Ric to help Willow.

Ava wants to expose this secret, but Nina warns her not too. Willow really does need Ric’s help, Nina insists. So, Ava agrees to keep quiet. 

At another table, Liz thanks Ric for taking Willow’s case free of charge. After Liz leaves, Ava asks Ric why her accounts are locked. It’s just a few days, he says. 

Ric calls Alexis when Kristina walks into the room. The lawyer urges his ex to get down to the Metro Court ASAP.  When Alexis arrives, Ric tells her he is ending his relationship with Ava. 

At the hospital, Cody and Felicia are in Maxie’s room. When Cody leaves, Felicia talks to Maxie, urging her to wake up. Meanwhile, Lulu panics when Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) warns that Maxie could fall into a coma.

As they talk about Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), they both apologize to each other. However, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was the reason why Lulu lost so much time with Rocco. They laugh about how much Maxie would enjoy them getting along. 

Liesl leaves, then BLQ arrives. Lulu says that Maxie needs them. While they make a pact, Liesl brings flowers to Maxie’s room.

Lulu Spencer’s Pact

At the Quartermaine stables, Brook Lynn and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliott) discuss Lulu. Tracy thinks the girls are a lot alike and gives examples.

When BLQ leaves, Tracy stays in the stable until Cody gets there. If he wants to be there for Maxie, then no scams and lies. Tracy leaves and Ava shows up. Cody immediately tells her that he’s been conning her all this time.
