‘General Hospital’ Recap Thursday, January 8: Drew Shooter Revealed, Willow Blames Michael & Drew Implodes

Today on GH, the truth behind the ringtone is finally revealed, Drew’s testimony backfires spectacularly, and Willow’s emotional court appearance shifts the trial’s direction.

General Hospital recap is in for Thursday, January 8, 2026. In today’s episode, the ringtone mystery is solved. Willow Tait Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) testifies. Plus, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) bonds with Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver).

Today On General Hospital – Kristina Corinthos-Davis’ Dread

Gio runs out, telling Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) that he will be back in time for dinner. As she bursts out the door, he runs into Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).

The young lady asks Gio about when he’s performing the violin again, but doesn’t really answer and zooms. (Make sure to check out our weekly GH spoilers, here!)

Kristina tells Sonny she’s on the way to Willow’s trial. She’s dreading it. Sonny says it doesn’t mean Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) will face charges.

Drew Cain’s Disaster Testimony

After chatting with Gio, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) show up at the courthouse. Drew takes the stand and declares he’s there to set the record straight!

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) questions him about the dynamics with Michael and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) attacking him.

Drew says Michael sent Jason after him after the racy video. Drew mentions Jason’s rap sheet, so Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) objects.

Justine suddenly recalls Drew blackmailing Sonny over Jason’s assault. Drew says he was shot once Michael realized he was getting Willow back.

Justine questions Drew next. The ADA wants to know about why Michael took over Aurora. The dead custody judge is brought up next.

Drew calls her a liar. Justine brings up the wire transfer to the judge, it was found in Drew’s safe. The man claims Michael planted it.

Drew then claims Michael has cost him everything. Michael starts smiling. Willow asks Alexis to stop. Drew calls Michael a homicidal maniac and he’ll rot in prison. Michael continues smiling.

The judge calls a recess. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) tries to stop Drew from getting to Willow. Alexis tells Drew he bombed. The only way to save the case is for Willow to testify.

Dante Falconeri Debates

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) runs into Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). The brunette complains about Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) being suspended.

They debate about Chase’s actions. Dante confesses he might not have been so wrong about Willow after all. Dante isn’t defending Willow, just saying they do have blind spots.

Trina Robinson’s Discovery

Gio arrives, he’s going to play with Wiley. Brook Lynn goes to set things up. Meanwhile, Gio asks Dante if Michael framed Willow.

Dante honestly doesn’t know and exits. BLQ brings Gio to Wiley. They talk about the emergency phone and how worried the boy is about losing his father. BLQ leaves the two alone to play.

Dante arrives at the courthouse. Kristina fills him in. Michael shows up as Kai and Trina wait for the ringtone. Wiley calls his dad.

Gio wants to know if Wiley is allowed to play Tron. Michael agrees, then explains to Kristina he had the ring tone changed when he got back from Germany.

As everyone files in the courtroom, Kai and Trina realize they were wrong.

Meanwhile, Gio and Wiley continue to play. When the boy goes to get a drink, Gio calls Trina. Wiley returns and talks to Gio about missing his parents together.

BLQ goes to Sonny to talk about Gio. They discuss the violin for Gio. BLQ thought listening to Gio play was magical. They are both glad about the families reconnecting.

Willow Tait Cain Testifies

Willow goes on the stand. The woman discusses being cuffed in front of her kids. Alexis asks who would frame her. Willow suspects it was Michael.

Willow explains her relationship with Drew and how he saved her life. Drew is Willow’s hero, so of course, she fell for him.

Willow admits she left Drew after learning about Nina’s affair. It was impossible to meet Michael’s crazy demands regarding the children.

Drew cares about her, and that’s why they reunited. Willow says Michael has been cruel keeping her from the kids. She’s in court today because of Michael.

Justine questions Willow next. Willow denies touching the gun. Then, Willow recalls using gloves to handle the weapon.

Willow says that she just wanted to be with her children that night. Justine brings up Willow being near Drew’s house that night.

Willow was emotional and doesn’t really know where she went. Willow claims she didn’t stop anywhere. Justine asks if her life has improved with Drew in it.

Willow knows her husband isn’t perfect, but she loves him. Drew knows how much her kids mean to her.

Justine asks, “What would you do for your children?” Anything, she replies. Willow is excused and the court recesses. Tomorrow will be closing statements.

Kristina tells Michael that Willow could go free. Michael still won’t let Drew near his kids.

Justine admits to Dante she thought Willow would crack, but she didn’t.

Meanwhile, Kai and Trina hear that ringtone again. They look over and it’s Wiley calling Willow.
