'General Hospital' Recap Wednesday, May 27: : Sonny’s Plan, Kristina’s Big News & Curtis ChargedGeneral Hospital recaps for Wednesday, May 27 reveal Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) put out feelers for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).

Elsewhere, Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) consoled Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) explained her good news.

5 Key Takeaways

  • Sonny puts Brick on the hunt for Rocco and Britt
  • Lulu and Dante decide not to involve the FBI yet
  • Emma comforts Gio as guilt over Rocco weighs heavily on him
  • Kristina reveals she secretly applied to medical school
  • Curtis is officially hit with felony assault and battery charges

Sonny Put Out Feelers For Rocco

At Pozzulo’s, Sonny informed Gio that Rocco and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had left the area, hoping his grandson might have some information.

However, Gio revealed that Rocco hadn’t shared anything with him, particularly after he had betrayed his brother’s trust by confiding in Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna).

Feeling guilty, Gio expressed concern that he might have driven his brother to seek out Britt.

But Sonny reassured him that he had made the right choice by alerting Dante about Rocco’s troubles and promised to take responsibility for locating Rocco. Gio seemed to take his grandfather’s words to heart, and looked somewhat relieved.

Lulu Wanted To Involve The FBI And Pursue Kidnapping Charges Against Britt

In the meantime, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) suggested to Dante that they involve the FBI regarding a kidnapping charge.

But Dante was worried that this would tip off the WSB and jeopardize Rocco’s safety. They speculated whether Britt had fled with Rocco because she was aware that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) had pieced things together, leading them to decide they needed to search for their son independently.

Dante shared that “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey) had persuaded him to send Rocco away and was about to ask his father to help hide the three of them when Lulu called to inform him that Rocco was missing.

Sonny Then Dropped In And Gave An Update And A Solution

Sonny came over to have a chat with Lulu and made her aware of a critical situation: it turns out she was already on Cullum’s radar.

This meant that if she and Dante attempted to search for their son, they would inadvertently guide the WSB director directly to Rocco and Britt.

In the conversation, Sonny shared that he had enlisted Brick’s (Stephen A. Smith) services to help locate Britt and Rocco.

After considering this information, Dante and Lulu reached a consensus that Sonny’s plan was indeed the most effective approach to find their son.

This way none of Rocco’s loved ones would inadvertently leave the dastardly double agent any breadcrumbs.

After Kai departed, Gio showed up and updated Emma about Rocco and Britt. Initially, Emma placed the blame entirely on Britt, but Gio insisted that he needed to trust his brother.

Emma praised her boyfriend for always managing to find the silver lining in every situation, and Gio expressed his gratitude for her unwavering support.

Kristina Explained Her Good News

Meanwhile, across the restaurant, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) was taken aback to learn that Kristina had secretly submitted an application to UCLA’s medical school.

Kristina shared that her experience in the hospital after the loss of baby Adela Corinthos/Irene Ashford (Mazlyn) had motivated her, yet she felt conflicted about leaving Charlie’s and the Corinthos-Davis House behind.

When Molly argued that those reasons weren’t sufficient to deter her from pursuing a medical career, Kristina confessed her lack of confidence in completing medical school.

She expressed her doubts,  given her history of not fully committing to anything. The sisters shared a heartfelt moment as Molly reassured Kristina that the memory of the baby would inspire her to complete her education.

Trina Visited Curtis And Jordan To Hear Her Father’s Side Of The Story

Trina went to see Curtis and Jordan, eager to hear her father’s perspective on the altercation with Isaiah. Curtis shared his belief that Isaiah was indeed the driver who abandoned him and Jordan.

He also accused Isaiah of instigating the conflict. With Curtis’s arraignment just hours away, Jordan expressed her confidence that Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) would interpret the situation as a heated dispute between the two men, and Curtis was equally sure he would not face prosecution.

Curtis Worried About Trina Being Caught In The Middle While Justine Took Victim Statements

After Trina departed, Curtis confided in Jordan that he despised having his daughter caught once more in the conflict between him and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr).

Jordan suggested that, given the lack of evidence implicating Isaiah as the other driver, they should leave the fight and the car accident behind and concentrate on the family’s future.

Although Curtis was adamant about not letting go, citing that Isaiah’s actions had nearly cost him his daughter, Jordan ultimately persuaded him to look ahead.

Meanwhile, Justine was reviewing the statements from Isaiah and Portia at G.H. in preparation for Curtis’s arraignment to determine if prosecution was warranted.

Portia recounted her belief that Curtis had provoked Isaiah, and the couple explained how the injury to Isaiah’s hand had jeopardized his career.

After Talking To Justine, Isaiah Bumped Into Kai

Additionally, Portia mentioned that the hospital would need to find another surgeon to carry out a complex liver transplant on a young patient, as Dr. Gannon was a specialist.

Later on, Isaiah bumped into Kai, who was heading to see Derek Hope (Anias Anozie). Isaiah shared that, due to his broken hand, he had just informed Derek that the surgery would probably be delayed unless they could find another surgeon.

Upset by the circumstances, Isaiah exclaimed that it would be his fault if Derek missed out on his liver transplant and regretted not staying quiet during his dispute with Curtis.

Trina Went To Talk To Portia

In an effort to prevent further conflict within the family, Trina visited her mother’s office after departing from Curtis and Jordan’s residence.

She was taken aback to learn that Isaiah might never be able to perform surgery again due to his injury, yet she still urged Portia to persuade Isaiah to show some leniency towards Curtis before the arraignment.

However, when Portia met with Isaiah, she chose not to follow Trina’s request; Trina later learned from Kai that Derek’s surgery plans had fallen through.

Kai blamed Curtis for the attack on Isaiah, and although Trina stood up for her father, Kai remained distressed, worrying that Derek could die without his transplant

. Just before the couple headed to the arraignment, Justine visited Jordan’s condo to inform her and Curtis that Curtis was facing charges of felony assault and battery.
